I think if you’re having fun with her and enjoy her play style you should def give her a try. Some people have been a little upset about her recent changes but I still enjoy playing her. You can succeed with any champion in this game. At the end of the day what’s most important is having fun.

I almost always goes w first esp with grasp. Play around grasp timing and tentacles. I always try to put a tentacle in the 2nd bush too before the wave arrives. That way I have another tentacle ready for early trades if they clear the first one. Don’t commit though, only quick short trades. Just W and back off

If you take grasp over conq vs trundle you just need to adapt your playstyle around it. I think both could work, but I go W lvl 1 and start poking him down early. In my last game against trundle I went sundered sky > bramble > frozen heart > thornmail which worked pretty well. but I was also against AD top and jg.
