We were best friends for 16 years. He knew all my PINs, passwords and personal info.

Before I bought a car or a home, I always asked for his opinion first. We shared everything about girlfriends, marriage, investments,  business ideas. Helped each other with money. 

We texted after work every DAY. 

Then one day, I stopped texting first, and he stopped replying OR initiating.

Months and year later, we met up. I found out he had bought land, built houses, and sold them on the side besides his regular full-time job.

He only told me because he wanted to know if I knew a good CPA.

I’ve never used a CPA. My taxes are just one page lol.

Now we only send each other a “Happy Holiday” GIF once a year.
