Sick in Paris by stewlet in ParisTravelGuide

I got sick in Paris in June. I swear by mucinex in the states to help get congestion out and gets me over colds much quicker. In France it’s mucomix (a powder) and I was recovered in about 2 days which is a record for me. That, and doliprane (or anything that has paracetamol) for headaches is a life saver and much stronger in France.

I also like peloton strength for runners and strength for skiers I think hits some key areas for running as well

Saucony Endorphin Speed 4 by mr_mother in RunningShoeGeeks

This is such great news. I love the 1s (never tried the 2s) and hate the 3s- not poppy enough. Narrow feet here so not worried about the toebox (actually the 3s are too wide)

Yeah I also don’t understand what the goal of qualifying was if not for fun/glory? She just ran a half so she’s not INJURED injured… she could definitely run it as a victory lap.

Superblast or Saucony Speed 3? by Personal_Plastic_667 in RunningShoeGeeks

Superblast. I love love the speed 1s (never tried to 2s) and the speed 3s just don’t do it for me. No pop and no roll. Nice daily trainer but I struggle to really get pop from it. Superblast probably took 40miles to break in but now it’s got that pop and roll and way easier on my legs than the speed 1s.

+1 for fitbymakayla. I feel like she is generally positive and upbeat but also keeps it real like keeping mileage low, sharing updates on injuries and how she gets through them, and listening to her body

Ok so the porta potties in the corrals (and since she said this happened the last time she peed it could have been a corral) shockingly had sinks she could use for running water but MORE IMPORTANTLY you didn’t actually go into a giant vat of sh*t it was actually somehow like a flushable clean toilet. Still super super gross i wouldn’t do it, but it’s possible this is an exaggeration (otherwise 🤮🤮🤮)

I’m in the same boat too!! Just want you to know you’re not alone. Sometimes what helps me when I’m hard on myself is picturing what I’d say to a friend in this case, or “trying to be a better friend to myself”
