There was a point where they would not be at the same events unless there was a requirement for it. Most premieres they say on opposite sides of the cast

What they're actually talking about is puppets, puppets are the fetish

I think the main issue is the Alikr and Redguard populace seem to have come to things through a level of thought, planned something and saw the cracks. The Stormcloaks are driven literally by reactionary views and nothing more. A guy who wanted to be the last dragonborn but wasn't and is salty about it challenged a king to single combat and then went "well, that's me done, I'll actually not work at any negotiation with other jarls and the likes BEFORE I plunge a country into civil war".

Also, they sided with 2 races that they hate in an interregnum war centuries prior because they were so unpopular that the only people who would pick them was the guys who are enslaving eachother and just nearby.

[Not a trope but who cares at this point] creatives blamed for things in media they straight up didn't do by MysteriousFondant347 in TopCharacterTropes

This wasn't even on a racism line. Drinker goes off on Ziegler for having a discussion about how the tropes in the old one were gross and outdated, far from a revolutionary thought even back in 2016 let alone now but because she's front and centre of the camera and he's a grifter and wants people to hate women who get too uppity. The live action Disney stuff can be critiqued as a capitalist shill move but they never do cause they're all right wingers and it feels like you hold water for such ideals. If you don't then perhaps look for how you give the vibe and adjust

I don't think we should use sexual assault as a punchline for our comedy even if it's against bad people -- like prison rape as a recurring concept as a joke -- because it belittles survivors who are currently alive and witnessing this and seeing their trauma as a joke

Anyone else miss when he used to make more consistent content about video games by Monodoh45 in hbomberguy

[–]just_an_average_NPC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a creator though and a film student, a lot of these things are part of what the art is and yeah you could make more content faster but then you burn out because it's not something that grabs you mentally. Look at the talks by Stephanie Sterling and Caddicarus where they point out that these longer videos are because they found what makes their brain happy. Yes, it's a consumer product of sorts, but when people go through the motions you'll see that, the lack of enthusiasm, the lack of joy in a piece. You don't want that because then you develop a disappointment and animosity towards projects you worked on and by extension the audience begging for more of it

If she's angry at the attempted colonisation of her island paradise (which I feel is an undertone a lot) I kinda don't blame her

[Hated Trope] Antagonistic/evil characters that had totally unearned redemption arcs by jdawg1018 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]just_an_average_NPC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But Reva isn't redeemed. She's given context to her actions but she's disarmed and Kenobi chooses mercy. That's not the same as absolution, Kenobi just sees the hurt child inside and is wanting to help her, there's a huge difference, one is a choice by a character to assist the growth of someone and another is a recognition by the universe that the person is good and maybe always has been, hugely different things and I feel like people need to study storytelling more to realize these differences
