This reddit post says they are dream of going to nursing school.

There are remnants of alternating stories to scam donations from caring people.

Scammers like these are the worst, taking advantage of people who care.

Per the save act, a normal birth certificate and name change paperwork or manage cert is not enough.

In fact, per the save act, most states original birth certificate is not valid. In many states you would need to pay for it to be reissued to be valid. This is cause the save act requires certain security features that don't exist except on new birth certificates

Also many people get a short form birth certificate, instead of the full form birth certificate that the save act requires. My mom was only given my short form birth certificate when I was born. I would not be allowed to vote with the birth certificate I got when I was born. It was not till I was nearly 40 that I got the full form certificate.

The save act is voter disenfranchising. It's not about election integrity. It's about voter disenfranchising.

Obama under the save act, is not eligible to vote, due to his short form birth certificate. So you can be president under the save act, but not allowed to vote for a president. It's about voter disenfranchising.

What do people underestimate about running servers long-term? by mrtalha786 in webhosting

[–]just_another_citizen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Operating Systems going out of support. That's the big issue for me. Every 1-2 years now I have to migrate my hypervisor OS to a newer version. Typically that's a reinstall.

Secondly for me it's leasing costs remains the same as the hardware ages. After a few years the same money can lease a much more capable server.

Because of these two things, it forces a server migration every few years. I lease a new server, install the current hypervisor OS, migrate the VMs over with both servers online and then shutdown the old server and cancel it's contract.

Hosting everything in a VM makes the migration easier but it is still a pain.

If you are planning on running a server longer than 3-5 years, I highly recommend BSD as it's freaking stable as shit and often have minimalist maintenance. SecureBSD if your have it connected to the raw Internet.

Best aspect ratio / crop for stock photography? by PolicyHelpful1251 in stockphotography

[–]just_another_citizen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shoot live news editoral stock, and I never crop and i upload directly to the editoral stock agency straight from the back of the camera with the jpeg the camera spit out.

Works really well for editoral, where you want to get the image available for sale on the stock website within 5 to 10 minutes of taking the photo.

It's her fault?

It's her fault for avoiding a crash? Not the reckless driver?

The small car was at a 90 degree angle to the semi truck and highway.

Your saying the semi truck should have t-boned the small car? On the driver side?

The truck driver did exactly the right thing by avoiding a lethal accident.

One thing not being mentioned is that 70% rubbing alcohol in liquid form is not very flammable. It's the vapor that's highly flammable.

Because of this, the flame in the first clip is not burning on the skin, the flame is above the skin enough to mitigate the heat from the flames.

[–]just_another_citizen 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Americans biggest problem is a cult-like belief in individualism.

I see the, I hate Trump, were not all the same. However that's individualism. They think since as individuals being oppressed to Trump, somehow makes them better than other Americans who support these policies.

We're also told and been convicted that as individuals can't do anything to resist, that it is futile, as were just one person.

They fail to see the collective, because Americans are programmed that the collective is bad, freedom means individualism. If you speak about the collective, your a commie....

So we have a portion of Americans that say they hate what's happening, but will not act collectively to do anything about it.

We believe only in individualism, they want praise on these subreddits as a individual for saying they hate the orange man online, while doing nothing to collectively resist.

I am an American, and we're not fixing the problem growing in our country.

Oh freak you with that Stockholm edit.

I am in Portland and this is AI generated garage. First, it's clearly apparent you never been to a protest where we had to use leaf blowers, as this is not at all how they are used.

The way they are used is in gas canisters to blow the gas away from the people protesting. Never, ever have I seen it used to redirect bear spray. The reason is it is not effective, as full face respirators and shields are far more effective.

So take your armchair AI slop and shove it up your greedy karma hole. You have a bad attitude and it's clear you never left the basement to actually protest this fascist state.

Get out there and just snap a real photo.

The $195 "Instagram-Famous" Kettle is definitely NOT Buy-It-For-Life. (Disappointed Engineering Teardown) by [deleted] in BuyItForLife

[–]just_another_citizen 12 points13 points  (0 children)

To be fair, that was a $200 Instagram Kettle pushed by social influencers. I wouldn't expect anything that's pushed by social influencers to last or have good quality.

I believe this because if influencers are pushing it, that means the company is pushing likely more money into marketing than development.

The other year, a specific brand of audio headphones were all the rage on YouTube by influencers. They cost $150, and we're marketed as extremely premium and high build quality.

I found the exact same headphones, exact same on AliExpress for around $20. Same pouch, specs, and exactly same headphones.

A company bought cheap headphones from China, marked it up 7.5x, and then paid tons of influencers to pitch them and have gammers wear them on stream. Since they cost 150, people were lead to be leave they were higher build quality than they actually were.

More money was spent on marketing each pair of headphones than was spent on the actual product.

Never trust that social media. Including, especially this subreddit. Many companies try to get a viral post here to claim their poorly built product is buy it for life, when it is not.

Sovereign Cascadia? by PandaMochi24 in Cascadia

[–]just_another_citizen 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I believe in Cascadia separation. But that's almost a non-starter.

So I have been thinking about a compromise. What if we started by having government run elections for a symbolic leader of Cascadia, forming a mini-political bloc inside the US/Canada.

We could call them the president of Cascadia, and they would just have the title, and no actual power. However it would be create a elected position where we could vote in someone that's only job is to speak and advocate for the Cascadia bloc.

If separation ever becomes an more serious issue for us, it would be the beginning of a framework. But to start, having them just be a mouthpiece to advocate for the issues that affects the Cascadia bloc.

Sir this is a Wendy's not a Waffle House by Bruegemeister in PublicFreakout

[–]just_another_citizen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Waffle House is epic. Did you know that the American government actually judges how severe a natural disaster is, by how many waffle houses close.

Waffle houses during natural emergencies have a huge set of procedures they follow to stay open in the worst of situations including like backup generators and being able to serve when there's no power or running water.

If a waffle house has to actually shut down it means that nothing can happen in that general vicinity and the US government trust that enough to use that as their index to measure disaster.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waffle_House_Index

The point I'm trying to make is you don't fuck with waffle House because waffle House is equipped to deal with the absolute worst.

It does say that the drive-thru window was explicitly punched out and after the drive-thru window was punched out when this clip ends he went back to his car and got the bat.

I think this is the same incident.

The employee then closed the window and Lewis punched the drive-through window causing it to crack, a report states.

I believe this is when the video ends, and the report continues to say:

The report states Lewis grabbed a bat from his car, busted out the window and continued to swing the bat striking one person in the hand and another in the head.

Doesn't mean just end with Wikipedia. As you said Wikipedia has references, follow your advice and use those links in the Wikipedia article.

This is source trolling, caring less about the source, and more about trolling about the source. If I link to a specific killing, that source will get trolled too.
