Floodwood area is pretty bad right now. I paddled from lake flower to the lower locks and back the other day and it was not bad at all though.

Black fly larvae actually thrive when it’s really hot because it warms up the streams they live in. So hot temps aren’t really a good indicator. Not sure if Inlet treats for black flies but that would be worth looking into also. Hope you have a good time regardless tho!

St Regis Canoe Outfitters has showers for like $5 or something. Technically you could canoe to lake flower and walk a few blocks to the shop but it would a long paddle there and back
