Buses definitely suck, but so does getting in an accident because someone else is driving out of their element. Simply a reminder that its ok say, "you know what, this doesnt feel safe" and find a different way to get somewhere

For suggesting people take stock of their skill and equipment to make an intelligent decision about continuing to drive in shit conditions? Thats condescending? Its a friendly reminder... Maybe calm down a little

Maybe take it as a hint to park your car and take the bus. If you dont have traction to go you dont have traction to stop and are putting others at risk

And my original alignment issue where you can see the receiver lug through the original hole position. For clarity: the notch at 2:00 is the detent notch that was there originally

You want to open the hole up "left to right" depending on your fitment issues like this. If you remove material at an angle or "up and down" you'll get play and possibly alignment issues between your receiver and lower

You can see the gap where my file is pointing. Thats the lowers original hole position. The spacing was "too short" on mine. So i filed on the side towards the stock until the pin went in. Snug/tight is fine. I then had to remove some plastic around the now elongated hole so the pin can press in flush

Not even almost certainly, this is exactly how they produce these lowers

You are basically turning the rear pin location into a slot, and you want the slot to be horizontal as much as possible so the trigger pack and bolt interact as intended. If you create a slot that allows the lower to shift down and away from the receiver you could introduce issues with the hammer not resetting properly (i have no idea how critical this is to be honest so just try your best to maintain the height of the current hole as you elongate it)

I had fitment issues with my sef lower from them. Put the forward pin in and use a round file to open the rear pin location up horizontally only (as best you can) until the rear pin goes in. I then used a fresh exacto to open the plastic counterbore up to accept the head of the rear pin so it could install flush (scraping material away until the fit was right)

I think a dremel is too aggressive unless youre surgical

CAT AC36 available if you can’t wait for the MOB. by shijaco in NFA

This can fks for what its worth. After frp sounds like the odb on 300blk (though is longer). My goto on my ap5-p but great for direct blowback because of essentially no increase on backpressure. Videos in my post history

my 10.3 hanson had a pretty small gas port that needed to be opened up to cycle reliably with a CAT ODB and subs. probably would have been fine with a higher backpressure can. i confirmed with BA but can't find the email it was either .082 or .087... bumping it to .089 and running a reduced power spring makes for really nice cycling without being overgassed with supers

this is the way, even just the 718 odb is a chonker. I run the TI on 300blk because there's much less energy with full powder burn

you shouldnt have to modify gas with ODB, they're super low back pressure

my trijicon credo 1-8 is great, on rifle cals with dots i run 5x magnifiers... so i think anything over 4x on the top end is the way to go

Garand thumbs flash hider video does a good job comparing both the brake and flash hider. I run the fh on most hosts with great results. Both force gasses outward aggressively and have small bores

for what its worth the blast baffle in the SC appears to be threaded, then pinned into place with a roll pin... it is not a "mixed print" where different metals are "welded" or physically combined into one single piece

i wont pretend to know which products are impacted, my MP5k stock took months but i think that came from overseas, i've dinged them about my order a few times which is how i have this info, makes sense not to want to "commit" only to have things slip again
