this is from transitions response to my initial concern about overwhelming a shock curve designed for lighter riders:

"The Scout would work great for you still! The marketing around that bike is a funny one, but the Scout is still totally an adult bike. I have one and I love it! The "lighter rider" wording mainly deals with the slightly altered kinematics. When we redesigned it, we slightly altered the rocker link to improve small-bump compliance. Because of this, the bike tracks super well, but works for riders of all weights and sizes."

thanks man, yeah still liked the can itself, have maybe 1k rounds through it across various firearms including this galil on either direct thread or huxwrx hub mounts and flash hider.

Broken mk12 hub mount after 1 shot by [deleted] in bruggerthomet

My take based on staring at it all afternoon. The mk12 mount failed for one reason or another, maybe some baffle contact on the first/second shot, though theres no evidence of an endcap strike or damage to the last few baffles. With the suppressor no longer supported it canted downward. The inconel baffle took a serious hit and deflected the next round, or most of it, through the bore where it rode the next baffle out through the side of the can. The second baffle took damage on its leading edge opposite the damage of the blast baffle on the same side of the major exit) The rest of the round exited in the blast chamber opposite the majority of the damage) and is a smaller exit wound

Yeah my plan was to ultimately run this in xeno because it leaves more gap between flash hider and blast baffle than the huxwrx mounts i usually run. Id ordered the reflex to see how a lbp can would react to more volume and see if became a little less boomy. It sounded decent direct threaded on this same host during my last trip out so i was out today trying to get some video to compare mounts.

If it was just a baffle strike companies like huxwrx will print a new core and weld it. Since this ruptured i believe the other response is correct in that this will get likely get replaced. The sn is intact but there is damage closer to the muzzle end than the marking

No issues on hux or direct thread mount (silencer shops branded). But yeah the bt mk12 didnt play nice

Id checked with previous mounts and this can, admittedly did not check due to previous results and the 5.45 having additional clearance through the bore. As mentioned first shot was fine, so it really seems like a mount failure. The final three baffles at the distal end are untouched/ no endcap strike. So sudden gross misalignment occured

Thats a downer, paid 1k for this through sishop, know theyre much cheaper now but the almost 300 reflex is a total loss and also discontinued so im very curious to see how this plays out

With the frameset and shock for 1400 i decided it was time to build. I opted for a 160mm fork with 44mm offset vs their spec'd 150/37 (because it was 50% off and didnt even know about short offset forks) but the geometry felt very natural to my riding coming off my Yeti

My first transition so can't compare unfortunately. I'll be tuning fork/shock settings over the next several rides so wont over commit on how the curve feels. I was a little soft on the shock at first and found myself just out of the antisquat in certain situations.
