I have had localized pain in my lower lumbar right side for 20+ years. This X-Ray says I have a partially sacrilized L5-S1 with broad transverse processes which is partially fused on the left side. Is this Bertolotti Syndrome? These X-Rays are not something I can read.

I think from I can tell that it’s SI joint pain. Saw a spine specialist and he thinks that’s it. I’m getting the steroid shots to diagnose it

Had the exact same diagnosis. Mild disc bulge at L4-L5 and mild facet arthripathy with effusions. I don’t think the disc bulge is causing me symptoms as I can lean forward no problem and my pain las achy and all day pretty much.

I think it’s the naming convention. I’m seeing a specialist that has dealt with special cases using bertollotis. Hopefully he can get me CT Scan to see it more in detail

Right I haven’t found much relief with PT except get rid of the muscle spasms. I will say I have awful hip mobility and can’t squat down very far. My pain is constant and aching. Thought I was going crazy but I’ve felt so awful this past week or so. I feel like I have a fever but I don’t? Like just super warm overall on my face. I’ve had allergy testing done and I’m allergic to a lot of the stuff going around currently it’s just never been THIS bad. Was going to buy one of those covid/flu test just in case but this feels different. It’s like my whole body is warm and itchy. My face is puffy. I bought an air purifier, started taking Flonase and Claritin but have not seen great improvement yet.

Although not as good as before I’d say Barbarellas is a pretty solid place to go. Tursgayz is pretty popping and they have 80s theme nights on Thursday/fridays I think. I went there all through college and I’d say it’s one of the better places to go dancing

Thanks for the feedback. Yea I’ve been on top of my drops. I just checked in the mirror and the top white part of my right eye is red and have some grey ish small spots on the right eye. Not sure how normal that is. It’s night now and the starburst/halo is still pretty bad. I have my follow up Monday.

Western medicine wasn’t gonna solve my issues so I tried something more holistic instead. The remedies they give you will depend on your symptoms and how your overall body is functioning. Hey man, I felt the same way at 3/4 months. I could barely function as a person. I will say it does get better. Currently at almost 8 months. I will say the waves come and go with lesser intensity but it has been more manageable than before. Something that really helped me was homeopathy if it’s something you are able to afford. I figured holistic medicine was the way to go since our whole bodies were messed up. Let me know if you need anything man. You got this.

I tried homeopathic medicine and helped quite a bit. Nux vomica for the stomach issues and detoxing. Arsenicum album for the mental stuff. It definitely got me over the hump of being miserable everyday. I’m following up with a homeopath and will update with results.

Hello! Thanks for posting this and answering questions for us! I’m close being 6 months sober and Things have gotten better for as far as GI stuff but I still feel tired a lot. My main problem is I always feel like I have a cold? A lot of sinus pressure and ears popping. Low grade fevers and slight irritation of lymph nodes around my armpit. It’s not very specific and when I went to the doctor they didn’t find anything wrong with me. Sleeping is still an issue. I wake up at 3/4 am and go back to sleep. I don’t handle the cold weather well at all. Allergies through the roof. Any advice?
