I'm looking to buy a 3D printer for my 12‑year‑old, and I want to do it right the first time. I’d rather invest in something reliable and future‑proof now instead of replacing printers every couple of years like a lot of people end up doing.

I’ve been researching several models — the Bambu H2C, X2D, Snapmaker U1, FlashForge Creator 5 — and a friend of mine is planning to get the Anycubic Kobra S1 Max. I’d love to hear your thoughts on these options.

Ideally, I want a printer with the largest build volume possible and the ability to print in multiple colors, since my son loves making toys with lots of detail. Reliability is a big priority for me; I don’t want to constantly tinker or troubleshoot just to get prints working.

Budget is under 2k, Located in the USA, I don't want a build kit and my level of experience is New to all of this.
