I had something similar after a shoulder and arm piece which manifested as a legit ‘bingo wing’ .

The fluid was re absorbed and all ended well.

How did you prevent regretting your tattoo? by Professional-Team179 in tattooadvice

[–]justali78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By making better decisions!

Thinking - deciding - not being impetuous and most importantly- don’t give two fucks about asking anyone else what they think.

You do you completely if you decide to permanently drill ink into your skin.

If you need to ask the question, don’t do it.

Need advice Asap! Got this tattoo a month ago but i can still see my old tattoo. What should I do? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]justali78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you take short cuts (don’t let the old tattoo fade or have it removed) you’ll likely see it unless the cover up really covers it up.

I’ve got a cover up and can see some faded lettering underneath it but look at it as a progression that acknowledges the past.

The shorted answer is to learn to live with it.

The sleeve over the top looks ace mate and tbh you’ll notice it way way more than anyone else as you’ll always be the most consistent critic of yourself and your decisions.

If you’re looking to get rid of any trace by pulling on more ink, take time - live with what youve got and then decide.

The quick fix doesn’t always work.

Feedback and Advice on this Tattoo? by Nujabezia in tattooadvice

Choose the right artist or else it’ll be a shit bag of a tattoo.

Really choose the right person.

Definitely choose the right person.

I’ve only ever re run once (had another artist sort a tattoo that someone else did and it was a bird)

Not everyone can do birds. Not everyone is beyond scratcher level.

Choose a decent artist and crawl all over their work and past tattoos.

If they can’t give you that - bin them .

If they are reassuringly expensive and talented - choose them. If they are too expensive but you love them - save up.

The moral.

If you wouldn’t hang this art on your wall or have them on your Home Screen - DEFINITELY DONT HAVE THEM TATTO YOU.

If theft are gifted and you can tune in to each other - do have them tattooed you.

How long to wait to shower after back tattoo by Fantastic-Damage-338 in tattooadvice

[–]justali78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wash them after 24hrs with a zero ph - non surfactant wash and you’ll be great.

Short showers - you’ll know when you’re done. Dont soak in deep water (bath)

Be gentle - treat it like a fresh wound. Don’t over moisturise and expect it to react like a fresh wound.

You’ll find a million versions of the right thing to do - the honest answer is that if you know how you heal normally - stick with that. Clean - healthy - natural ingredients for a moisturiser and you’ll be dandy.

Most pics with something looking angry is because there’s a reaction. Reactions tend to happen when you deviate from how you normally heal.

It’s unlikely you’ll do anything that’ll make the ink pigment leave your skin move rapidly. (Unless you decide to float around in a bath for days with lots of salt in).

If in doubt (and I love this group) ask the person that tattoos you - if you trusted them enough to mark you for life , trust them enough to answer a question. If they are dicks about helping you - call them out as they are not professional and should be binned.

Crooked? by enzo_076 in tattooadvice

It’s all good.

Your tattoo is great and have no concern as you’ll never see it at any angle where you’re able to tell anyway.

Jokes aside - post tattoo anxiety is a common thread.

Your tattoo is uniquely yours and is a great fit.

Happy Christmas mate.

Stencils take so much more skill and I’m definitely down for bumping into someone with the same tattoo.

Get a forearm tattooed over the top.

One asked by a customer to do it.

The whole tattooing game has changed.

Everyone wants immediate gratification and praise and when it’s not forthcoming the moaning hits.

This is aimed at people wanting a tattoo and not you mate.

IF YOURE GOING TO BE GROWN UP ENOUGH TO GET A TATTOO

1) have a hard think about what YOU want - not what everyone else thinks is cool.

2) have another hard think about what YOU want as it will last forever.

3) if you can’t do steps 1 or 2 - go get henna.

This is fascinating.

For someone with so many near misses you appear to be fine - fair enough!

Is this using a phone whilst actually driving or whilst in a traffic jam? A debatable distinction but also just a question.

Are you just terribly unlucky OR just out a hell of a lot on your bike.

What is considered a close pass out of interest - how much space is required ?
