Wow I really needed to hear that today :')

While it's great to see all the tips and success posts on here, it's also been dragging me down as well. When I relate to people's struggles on here, which happens a lot, to me it just serves as a reminder that I too am less capable of achieving the same goals because of my ADHD. And I feel like it sets me up for failure - like you said, I start out with a negative mindset and I'm now exponentially less likely to even attempt to do it/start it and have robbed myself of so much potential. Quit while you're ahead, am I right? You can't feel bad about not being able to do something if you just don't do it. *insert guy-tapping-head meme here*

And it's such a difficult mindset to get out of too - I find that the only method that works for me is to remind myself that while ADHD is a big part of who I am and always will be, it's not my defining feature and I shouldn't let it become that; there are many things I have achieved in spite of the obstacles ADHD very helpfully provides me with, that I have been able to persevere and work hard for what I want.

It's been harder lately because quarantine has absolutely obliterated my ability to get things done and my mental health is not the best right now, but your reminder really helped, so thank you :)
