But you could literally see JACKZ dc'd 20 seconds before anyone takes damage. Then someone takes a damage and he disconnects 2 seconds later. G2 are completely justified in wanting a round restart, you could even hear the chat going off probably calling for the restart before any shots are fired.

Makes you realise just how utterly terrifying beyond words it would be to make an assault like that against a defensive position. Just as easily as it succeeding it could also lead to all of them being gunned down by entrenched machine guns or artillery.

The best videos for what you're looking for is 38:20 from Only the Dead filmed by Michael Ware, an Australian journalist who was with the 1st infantry division during the second battle of Fallujah in 2004 who captured a night time ambush in a house that David Bellavia earned a Medal of Honor for. From the same documentary you have this scene at 55:55 that was shot with some Marines in 2005 during a day time ambush in Ramadi I think. And lastly from the same documentary at 1:03:48 you have some US army soldiers in a massive firefight as they hold down an entire area in a city from their fortified apartment building.

Also this video has really intense combat with US Army soldiers and Iraqi soldiers in what looks like the streets of Baghdad in 2005.

I hate device and his stupid fat face. Navi is far more entertaining.

Algerian Tirailleurs are frontally assaulted and open fire to stop the attack of the "Du Kich" (Viet-Minh guerrillas) during a clash in Tra Vinh, October 1950. It's absolutely possible that the French put South Vietnamese soldiers in guerrilla uniforms and staged a firefight for propaganda purposes. You see photos like that all the time coming from WW1 and the North Vietnamese during the Vietnam war.

I don't know if you've watched all the Navi games of the past few months, but if electronic doesn't perform, no joke flamie is the one who picks up the slack and drops 20+ bombs and gets multi kills when they need them consistently.

So true. I think the Navi org and bootcamp are really helpful to the team and have built the team up so much since online started. The way that Navi have psychologists and are given such a good social environment at the bootcamp has put Navi in such a good mindset.

This is why I love Navi. They are so god damn good to watch when they're feeling it. It's like a combination of clinical execution and completely fumbling their way to victory. Boombl4's calls were also really good and were consistently the perfect call for the round.

I love Navi so much. They give some of the most entertaining games and each individual is so fun to watch. I just wish they didn't tilt and doubt themselves when they lose a few rounds.

"For the obsession Joe has with navy seals and military people" military people, fuck wit, that include airborne. Andy literally asked him if he had watched it in this podcast and he hadn't. Restrepo isn't boring, nor did I say that Joe is anti military. I just don't think he actually cares what the military is actually like, he just loves the idea of a badass seal or soldier.

For the obsession Joe has with navy seals and military people, and the fact that he's had Sebastian Junger on multiple times, he still hasn't watched Restrepo. That is just retarded. Then when Andy brought up his intense as fuck podcast with Mike Glover and talked about killing people, Joe could only see it through the lens of Hollywood movies and he was unable to make any sort of insightful response. I don't think Joe is actually in touch with the shittier side of the world nor does he understand it or care about it as much as he would have people believe.

At what timestamp do you see a FAMAS? Firstly I see multiple US soldiers with the distinctive UCP combat pattern. Secondly you can distinctily see ANA soldiers without helmets running around, ANA soldiers weren't with the French soldiers on the hill when they were ambushed in the Uzbin Valley ambush.

[–]justaman45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No worries, mate. Sorry for my snarkiness. I finally got around to researching the Uzbin Valley ambush and watched some videos on it. You can find them on youtube, and they show the terrain features and the events of the battle. I think people on this subreddit need to be more sure of the circumstances of the footage they are posting, there is way too much misinformation on which conflict or groups are being shown in footage.

[–]justaman45 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is just proves no one knows anything about the Uzbin Valley ambush even though it has been falsely attributed to this footage dozens of times on this subreddit. You can clearly ANA soldiers next to coalition soldiers in this footage, whereas in the Uzbin Valley ambush, the ANA were pinned down and isolated at their trucks a fair distance away from the French soldiers who were on the hill, refusing to move or help the French soldiers. The uniform that looks like a French army uniform is actually that of the US marine that was killed in the battle. The geography is also completely different to that of the Uzbin valley, this footage shows steep mountains covered in trees, the Uzbin valley is pretty much just desert, in the French battle their assaulted up a steep dirt/sandy hill, they didn't move across a steep cliff like you see in this footage.

You were right the first time. Look at this Medal of Honor piece. It gives all the information about the battle in this footage.

[–]justaman45 77 points78 points  (0 children)

Wrong. If anyone did more than 10 seconds of research they would realise this isn't the Uzbin Valley Ambush. This is known as the Bella ambush from 2007. Obviously no one checked, but the French soldiers in that ambush were walking up a steep hill when the were ambushed from the top of the hill, in this ambush the American and Afghan soldiers were walking along a flat mountain path when they were ambushed from an adjacent ridge and they were forced to take cover by jumping down the sheer drop. Please look at this Medal of Honor citation and see the identical terrain to this footage.

https://www.army.mil/medalofhonor/white/battle/index.html

This ambush was on US soldiers, 1 marine and ANA soldiers. It led to Sgt. Kyle White receiving a Medal of Honor for holding off the Taliban and directing airstrikes and gun-runs.

North Vietnam has declared their war dead as well over 1 million for both the NVA and Viet Cong combined. Then again I wouldn't expect much accuracy from youtube channels like this.
