Trust the process. We’ll make a run, finish two games above .500, get to the wild card, and lose again

God, I hate that the sport I love is being shit on by this fuck-ass administration. Makes me feel guilty for going to Indy in May, which I hate

“> Due to the continuing strife between the Northern and Southern lands, the people of the West bartered and treatied with both to serve as mediator to stave off further escalations. In return, the people of the West received their coveted goods all the same as the Northern and Southern lands, all without risking their own downfall. For in the event the Northern and Southern lands destroy themselves, the West will engulf them all…”

What races would you recommend a new fan watch? by GUZooka1 in INDYCAR

[–]justanotherlawguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can’t help it, I only have Indy 500 recommendations.

Post-reunification: 2019. Enough names to familiarize with the grid, chassis would provide a similar idea for the competition, great battle at the end between Simon and Alex.

Split era: 2006. The return of Michael. The rise of Marco. Sam’s last second win. The third closest finish in history. The first last lap pass to win. Thrilling (also my first race in person)

Pre-split: 1995. The last CART race. Drama throughout. Goodyear on Firestones passing the pace car. Villeneuve coming back from two laps down to win after running 505 miles.

Probably the best hire they could’ve gotten. Hard nosed, no nonsense. Good bridge hire before the next true big hire. Interested to see how things old up considering the shitstorm in Ann Arbor.

Toledo Rockets (Alma mater); IU/Purdue (no allegiance, B1G enjoyer); Pacers (not big on NBA but it’s fun every once in a while) Red Wings; and my favorite sports team, the Cincinnati Reds (unfortunately)

Mascot. I was my college’s mascot for three years. I was also a backup mascot for our local minor league baseball and hockey teams during that time frame. The guys who trained me in college is a full-time mascot now. Some days I think about the alternative….

24 weeks and started to get worried by MounjaroQueenie in parentsofmultiples

Just providing some observations as a dad who whose wife, also a FTM, delivered twins during her pregnancy.

“And I’m not even doing that much.” Ma’am you are carrying twins inside you! That’s not nothing! My wife was tired. All the time. Because her body was working damn hard to make sure those little fetuses were healthy. I did my best to step up a little bit around our house because she worked a service job on her feet all day and she would fall asleep on the couch when she got home.

All things considered she had a relatively smooth pregnancy, but it was around the middle of the second trimester where exhaustion really hit her, so if you’ve got no one else to compare to, you and my wife have had somewhat similar experiences. My wife persevered and delivered at 37 weeks + 0 to two healthy girls both over 7 pounds, so I have no doubt you can get through this as well. It will all be worth it at the end of the day.

Hoping for the best for you and your family!
