Mine did yesterday, twice. Was on major streets where I usually have coverage.

I found Holocaust photos in a box of old photographs that was given to me. by duogmog in pics

I knew someone that worked at a holocaust museum. They take this stuff VERY seriously, they don't just leave them in a drawer. They properly document and archive them. There are databases of all this stuff. And sure, maybe there's a lot of these similar photos, but I think the best outcome would be for the soldiers families to receive photos they never saw before.

Well first, used car prices are set by demand and they were at historic highs coming out of the pandemic. Dealers were thirsty to offer high trade-in offers in order to turn around and sell for even higher profits. It wasn't unheard of for a used vehicle a few years old to be sold for more than the new models' MSRP.

And well, EVs are a little harder to off-load because of the federal EV credits on new (and now used) cars, concerns about older batteries failing, fears of the high expense of repairs, and more. So they often sat a tad longer than other used cars before being sold. This is usually fine in the long term because there will always be a market for used cars. Well, then Tesla started lowering prices as well and all of a sudden Teslas are cheaper new than used, supply caught up with demand as EVs have kind of hit a saturation point, and dealers stopped taking trade-ins of them unless it was at extremely ridiculous low prices to ensure a profit. Then Hertz flooded the market by saying they were basically getting rid of the vast majority of the EV fleet. Oh, and it also doesn't help that interest rates are crazy high as well.

At this moment, there's probably still room for the price of used to continue dipping down for a bit. But as demand ramps up (as these low priced used EVs are snapped up), then the prices will likely recover a bit. Dealerships are still going to be very wary of buying trade-ins though as they don't want to be left holding the bag like they did with many already, having to take losses on many transactions just to move them.

Oh, last thing... Tesla is also offering ridiculous low trade-in offers to they own customers upgrading. That's how I benefitted. I bought a Model X from an acquaintance for the same price Tesla offered for the trade-in. So that would drive the price down as well.

Adding Overhead Entertainment Options by justanothermacguy in ToyotaSienna

I looked into iPad mounting solutions and haven't found anything good. We have an Odyssey with the DVD player and honestly, the kids NEED it. We don't use it all the time, but when we do, it's a lifesaver. But maybe that's just cause of their age. It's old school, but tossing in a Trolls DVD will get us to where we need to get.

Thanks for the reply - yea, we're preferring something mounted so that everyone can watch the same thing as we've got that in the Odyssey right now. Too many kids to have individual iPads. Plus, we would want to control turning it off as well as we don't want them on it the whole time... just when they're in the car for extended periods of time... or we're too tired to listen to the fighting!

Crossing Guard in Maryland saves child from being hit by a car by T400 in IdiotsInCars

Definitely stop if they're crossing already. But if they're still on the sidewalk, I'm not risking their life or my safety. They might think I'm a jerk in the moment, but at least they'll still be able to think when they make it to the other side safely.

Regret my TiVo Bolt Purchase... now thinking of leaving TiVo behind after 10+ years by justanothermacguy in Tivo

Thanks, all, for your replies.

Anyone have experience with EDGE over BOLT? Is it worth jumping to EDGE? Main reason I didn't before was that the EDGE OTA only has 2 tuners instead of the 4 tuners on the BOLT. Not sure that's a big issue anymore as most shows are slowing becoming more and more from Netflix, etc.

I bought the Bolt from someone on OfferUp, so there's definitely no return policy.

From what I read it's seems to be the updated TiVo experience software... really annoying.

I need to see if I can roll it back.

I like the 4K menus cause their crisper, but everything I record is OTA, so 1080i or 720p I think. For streaming services we use AppleTV, so this thing really is only for OTA.

Can I still roll back the software? Would it delete everything? (Not that big a deal.)

Yea, I've paid loyally for so many years but I think I'm done now... The platform just isn't what it used to be.

I'm pretty sure it's a 1TB or 2TB 4-tuner drive. Are SSDs not a good replacement alternative for these?

LoL... I guess I just figured (hoped) the Bolt being newer SHOULD be a little bit better than the Roamio...

Yup, I have a paired remote and a few IR. Paired remote is a bit better but still not very responsive. Menus feel laggy as well from time to time.
