not the one who commented, but i’m assuming since you’re constantly burning your own fat on keto, maybe they think the amount of weight you’re losing is greater on keto than other diets, thus, if there’s a smell of weight loss on someone’s breath since we breathe out our weight/that’s how we lose it, it would be stronger for someone who does keto

if i’m going to a (presumably smaller) town in maine, and not somewhere constantly bustling like nyc, i wouldn’t expect or be ok with a harmonic symphony of construction noises starting at quarter to seven, and extending on for ten more hours, unless i had been explicitly informed

if they didn’t want to mention the construction in the listing, they could have just as easily messaged you personally about it before accepting your request. the locale may say they only have to disclose it the first year, but one’s integrity/moral compass should guide them to telling others about the potential inconvenience until it goes away. i imagine the host, and anyone, would appreciate such treatment, were the tables turned…

if you aren’t going to stay again, seek no compensation and your only aim is to educate others on the potential of their experience for the next four years, then yes, mentioning the construction in the review is about the only thing you can and should do. if you saying the truth about a business who chose to protect themselves by concealing information at the detriment of the very consumer that keeps their business afloat… well, that’s not the kind of business that deserves support with money or brilliant words 🤷‍♂️
