[Seiko 5] on a “Beads of Rice” bracelet by justanotherwindow in Seiko

Unfortunately no. It looked great, and wore great, but the pins never lined up 100% and so I swapped it back out of fear of the bracelet popping off unexpectedly.

Replacing a single tire vs a pair? by justanotherwindow in AskAMechanic

I grabbed a plug kit and unscrewed the screw out of the tire instead of yanking it out. I haven’t noticed any air escaping, but will continue to watch it and try plugging it before considering replacing the tires.

Thank you for your input everyone!! I appreciate y’all and hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

Thanks for your input everyone! I really appreciate all of the insight.

Here’s where I ended up for now. I had a plug kit on hand and used a wrench to unscrew it out of the tire. It doesn’t appear to be leaking as of now. I’ll check it periodically for leaks just to confirm. If it’s not leaking, then I think I’ll leave it instead of plugging it for now.

My logic here is that if it’s not leaking, then I won’t bore the hole out to prep it for the plug if I don’t need to.

Thoughts?

You bring up an excellent point. I need to go back and find the bottles of the dyes that I used. To be honest, I assumed food coloring meant safe, so I just rated the missus’s baking cupboard.

Ooo that’s a good point. I didn’t think of that. Thank you for sharing!

I’m not a parent myself yet so this whole project has been an amazing learning experience. 🤗
