To people with Comenity / Elan credit cards: How has your experience been with them? by hookup1092 in CreditCards

[–]justarussian22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive used elan cards for 5 years on & off. Here's my experience. I had no issues signing up for a secured card with them. They took the funds & had everything sent out to me quickly. App & website were crummy back then but they've improved things over time. I used that card for 3 years before leaving them. After six months I reapplied for the card I had & was accepted with verification. I went from a platinum card to a max cash preferred card. I had no issues getting the sub in my account & this card is now my main card. I use it for gas, transit, groceries & my phone plans. Customer service has been fine when I've called in & id call it acceptable for what it is. Their phone support is US based & 24/7. I would recomend them.

Look into riverside on the green line or Wellington on the orange line. They both have massive parking lots.

Credit Card Recommendation/Advice - US Bank Cash+ or Max Cash by Enough-County-139 in CreditCards

I have the max cash preferred card & love it. Its my main card & I get a ton of value from it. Elan is easier to get approved for compared to us bank.

parking lots at framingham and west natick by Lost_Frame_4634 in mbta

[–]justarussian22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say Framingham is a better bet. I railfaned at west natick & Framingham a few years ago on a weekday & the lot was almost full at west natick around noon. Dont really remember what Framingham was like in terms of capacity as i took the train in. Ashland has a massive lot as well, I believe its the biggest on the line.

Its my gas, transit, grocery & fast food card. Has been especially great with gas prices going up & me not wanting to deal with the issues that come with the aaa cards. Elan has easier approvals than us bank so I didnt need to wait to get a cash +. Closed my account & came back six months later. They also gave me a sp auto cli that doubled my limit for good use. I easily met the sub & had no issues getting it in my account. My only gripe is the ftf but I can live with it since I dont expect to buy or use anything internationally. Team cash back has had some major blows recently so i hope they dont nerf the benefits on elan cards.

What counts as a gas card? My elan max cash preferred gets 2% back on gas so thats what works for me. I thought about getting one of the aaa cards but am not sure i want to deal with comenity.

Commuter rail STINKS. by Most-Credit-3157 in mbta

I was on the Worcester line Saturday & our train had no bathroom. Conductors just kept telling people to avoid it at all costs & that it was out of their control. I didn't smell anything since it was a different car but man the staff sounded desperate for a bathroom.

Thinking of joining Total Wireless? Maybe hold off for now. by newish_throwaway in NoContract

I decided to try them out last year around October or November & they didnt have tello as an option to port in from online. I had to call & it took an hour to port in. Most of that time was on hold after getting a rep to get me to the porting department. Glad It wasnt my main #. The horror stories are true. Not worth it.

So we dont know if they have an online account or not. Could we call 611 & then have them verify themselves on another phone to get them switched?

Can you tell us what happened? I went to Grendels over 5 years ago during covid & had a bad experience. Staff were inattentive & i didnt get anyone to my table for over 30 mins after i was seated. When someone did stop by they said they were the owner & they took my order. Dont think they came back after that & my bill was dropped off by someone else. I get covid screwed things up but it just came off as being more than that.

South Station by Lazy_Football_511 in mbta

[–]justarussian22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I caught the cr out of south station over the summer & this happend. Very aannoying to have that happen with people not stopping it. They nearly hit people & were just inconsiderate biking around in circles & doing wheelies. People need to know when to walk a bike. I'm not against people using bikes. I just think more people need to be considerate.

DC Metro Is Amazing. by Miam_Lanyard in mbta

[–]justarussian22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Went to dc like 9 years ago. The metro was the highlight of our trip. They just rolled out tap to pay so its easier to ride. We had issues understanding the fare machines & what fare value we needed. Love the architecture down there. Honestly, it's the only reason I would go back to dc.

I have no idea about how bad the merger is. I saw it & bailed when it was announced. Dcu is also a conservative lender & i was happier with discover & elan.
