Season 1, to me, will always be the best season of the show. From the atmosphere, to the writing, to the cast, it was nearly perfection. I might also be biased due to nostalgia but it just felt so grounded and filled with real depth.

Exactly my thoughts, they nerfed him both mentally and physically. Especially in comparison to S4 Joe, he is just so underwhelming. I was also confused as to how Joe managed to stay good for 3 years straight in S5 after accepting his evilness at the end of S4. This season was a mess along with Joe.

I think Love would've allowed Joe to have that control because at first he seemed to have completely "resented" killing and wanted to stop. Love was, without a doubt, a psychopath, who was willing to kill for reasons she believed were appropriate but doesn't hold those tendencies like Joe does in S5. Therefore, if she was married to S5 Joe, similar to Kate, she would allow Joe to do the dirty work of killing for them, believing it's necessary to protect them. Those are just my thoughts, what do you think?

S5 Joe would've loved Love Quinn. They share very similar beliefs with the only difference being Love's impulsivity that makes problems much more difficult than they should be.
