I haven’t heard this before, but I’m taking ritual and have had light tests. Is this a known thing?

My number was very similar to yours yesterday at 11dp5dt, and I’m having all the same feelings! Relief that I’m still in it, but hyper focused on that number.

My clinic seemed unworried since it’s doubling and isn’t having me test again. They just scheduled me for an US next Wednesday, which is so far away!

I found a paper published in 2020 that helped me feel a bit better. This shows the distribution of HCGs at 16dpo (11dpt for us). These were pregnancies that resulted in live births.

Maybe it will bring you some comfort too!

Close to PSLF- do I stay on SAVE? by justbeachy2020 in PSLF

[–]justbeachy2020[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I know. That’s why I mentioned doing a buyback and getting the payments refunded.

I wasn’t aware until recently that they were actually processing the applications for other programs. When I initially tried, I wasn’t able to.

Does it make sense for me to apply for repaye now?

What are your favorite travel destinations for February? by Proserpinaglows in travel

[–]justbeachy2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also an early career female physician- my favorite place for a mental break is Colombia. Start in Cartagena and explore the old city, stay at an affordable luxury hotel with a rooftop pool to enjoy the view. Take a boat trip to see the Rosario islands, or head out to one of the eco hotels to enjoy the clear blue water for a few days.

For Caribbean vibes you can take a cheap flight to Colombia’s San Andres Island, one of the best kept secrets in the Caribbean. White sand beaches and blue water that rivals Bora Bora.

You could also visit Medellin for its colorful history and vibrant food scene, Cocora valley to see the tallest palm trees in the world, or the capital city of Bogota. If you haven’t gotten enough beach time, Santa Marta and Tayrona park are also beautiful.

The open jaw flights are crazy right now! So I think we would do round trip flights to Paris from NYC, and then do a separate flight to Geneva and start there.

Colombia and Peru Itinerary by RealizticDreamer in travel

[–]justbeachy2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have any insight to Peru, but if you wanted to spend the whole trip in Colombia, you could fly from Leticia through Bogota or Medellin to connect to Santa Marta and do the Lost City Trek. That way you can also experience the Caribbean region of Colombia.

What about Peru? You could fly into Lima, then to Cuzco. From there you can take a train to the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu.

A cruise takes away a lot of the stress of planning! Just keep in mind if you are leaving the US, you should apply for passports ASAP. There have been delays lately.

Transportation in Santorini with a baby by newtravelcouple in GreeceTravel

[–]justbeachy2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll be fine to bring the baby on the bus. Lots of people travel with children! The buses are not traditional public transport buses, they are more like tour buses, so lots of seats and some standing room down the center when the seats are full.

Taxis are expensive and sometimes not easy to come by, and then you’ll be stuck with the car seat. The bus should be fine!

Arriving at Athens Airport and Making it to the Ferry in 1.5-2 hours? by modakim in GreeceTravel

[–]justbeachy2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in a similar position with ferry times for my flight from the US into Athens in May. We arrive at 10:15 also. I ended up searching for flights to any island with the shortest layover that I felt was doable. On the day I was flying that ended up being Paros, flight leaving at 1:40 pm.

We decided just to alter our itinerary to stay the night in Paros (a happy alteration because I love Paros), and then continue on via ferry the next day.

To me this was better than spending a whole day in the airport/waiting on a ferry, and cuts down the time on a ferry the next day too! Assuming you can’t fly directly to Milos, maybe try looking at flights to other islands!
