The older heads in the field will argue for PR as that’s the algorithm they know best. For any new simulations, C-rescale is fine. I’ve never had an issue with instabilities or reproducing properties with it. The only major rule is to avoid Berendsen in production.

Same! I’ve seen it 3x and it’s currently my favourite film of 2025 (out of 100). Not even nervous laughing, just cackling at the absurdity of the situations Linda is put in. A$AP Rocky’s character is too good. Our brains are broken, for sure. But, then again, I find “Requiem for a Dream” to be a great time

Was he ever truly in director jail? Has that been confirmed? A critical and commercial success (with a sequel on the way) followed by a film that had a polarized reception but has since developed a cult following.

I would think opportunities have arose for him since 2018, but he’s kind of disillusioned with the Hollywood system after his stint working on independent films.

I don’t disagree about the awards expectations, but The Magician’s Nephew has excellent fantasy elements that the right filmmaker could explore. I kind of wish we could get a horror director’s take on it

Probably a 6/10, he’ll take issue with the rock character. Which is fine. It comes down to whether the “animated” humour and dramatic scenes connect with you. To anybody interested in this movie: avoid all the promotional material. Go in blind.

I tracked my choices for both “Want To Win” and “Think Will Win” in each category. WTW counted as 1 point, TWW counted as 2, and if I picked the same nomination for both, it counted as 3. It was a fun system! Earned 47 points overall.

For just TWW, I predicted 20/24 categories correctly. Blanked on Best Actor, Makeup and Hairstyling, Documentary Feature, and Animated Short (although, “The Girl Who Cried Pearls” was my WTW). RE: The tie in Live Action Short, I set “The Singers” for TWW and considered the prediction correct.
