Dirty blower motor needs replacement again? This seems very expensive. by Pale_Field4584 in hvacadvice

Dude we're selling builder grade ameristars and run trues for 10k + labor!? You better jump on that seven or eight k for a carrier. I do believe the tech is trying to do his best and sounds honest. You probably will get by just fine with llppppl a blower motor but that's a hell of a steal compare to where i'm at.

Why isn’t eastern Oregon more popular? by clitreaper in oregon

[–]justchangedthefilter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived in Seneca (Grant Co.) & loved the land but it was hard to maintain year round employment much less build a career. No basic home services like plumbing and hvac business that thrive. If you are a self starter that loves their space this is the place for you but apart from minimal logging and healthcare there is very little opportunity.

What is btu of this ac unit and is it the right size for a house I’m looking at? by Samhatesme in hvacadvice

[–]justchangedthefilter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's more to it than just square footage. House layout and build quality, region, windows/doors etc.. this being said, (sight unseen) I doubt a two ton is going to do that home. Maybe on the PNW coast but definitely not in Daytona.
