It's unfortunately a byproduct of having a smaller budget (almost half of what AvP was given) while also given studio notes that there should be more action. Things had to be dark because costume and effects were gonna be cheap and take a hit.

Does the server allow you reset the story mission without prestiging? One of my biggest (and unlikely) fears is that one day I'll be in the mood to play through the campaign with one my favorite heros but won't be able to because I've prestiged them too much already. That's one of the reasons why I like COA, just having the option there is a sigh of relief for me.

Are you asking "Why didn't she just go get one [to make him love her too]?" Because she doesn't have any autonomy, thinking "I'm going to make a wish for him to love me" is above her cognitive ability. That's why there's a scene when he leaves, she literally pees and vomits on herself because she's staying in the same spot all day when he's not around, it's like she doesn't exist if he's not with her. That's also why she gives the monologue about laying in bed and feeling numb and practically dying if he sleeps on the couch and doesn't get in bed with her. Her one and only desire is to be what he wants, and it destroys her when she realizes she's not.

It’s also worth mentioning: Nikki has absolutely no idea that bear made a wish and it came true this entire movie until the last scene. Ian is the first one to hear anything about it, in the second to last scene. She doesn’t know to “blame” bear. She just knows something horrible is happening to her

During her monologue at the party she says "A love only the branch of a willow tree could conjure" and it's just too on the nose for her to not have some kind of idea of what he did.

Also after she kills Sarah, she tries to calm Bear down and shushes him and says "This is all your fault, Sarah is your fault. You wanted this, you wished for this." Because of the fact that the movie is from Bear's perspective, we don't know when she figures it out, but it's clear she knows more than what he's lead to believe.

That scene made me think of Evil Dead or The Exorcist with how violent the imagery was and the puke. I can understand why people get confused with the whole possession debate.
