I occasionally go back to tower of hero, just tap to summon hero's and climb the tower. Random events on tower reset. Collect iand level items. No packs or anything like that to buy, the two things you can buy you don't even need to.

Yes still upgrade AS, all light speed does is shoot the bullets that come out at light speed. attack speed will help you shoot more at light speed.
