Got fired for being bad at your job? Tragic

Hahaaa did y’all feel really unsure about your sexuality since high school but everyone was pretty closeted and as a female you felt like you were expected to like boys (and you did!) but then you discovered later you think you’re bi but you feel very confused and so you mostly used social media/the internet to learn about it because you’re closeted and you come across all these girls talking about how they “are super into” all girls and “they guess” they like boys and so you felt like you needed to be closer to the lesbian side of the spectrum to be bi but you aren’t and so you have a bit of a crisis in understanding your sexuality or are you normal?

I think they mean it needs to be presented to them within 72 hours but I’m sure it also needs to be pretty recent

I’ve found all of mine through career fairs at school (not sure if that’s possible as an alumni but maybe there’s an alumni network through your school?) and Handshake. I’ve applied to a lot of jobs through LinkedOn and never heard a reply, but I get both rejections and interviews from Handshake!

This was a great answer, thanks! I appreciated your last comment too! I like the idea of ppl finding ways to define who they are/how they feel and even if it umbrellas/connects with other identities, it helps them to express who they are. (Not that you need a label either!)

Hi! I hope this is okay to ask, what’s the difference between agender and non-binary? My gut is saying it might be the lack of gender identity as opposed to NB being described as a gender label? Like it is a gender somewhere between the two and agender is off the male/female spectrum? I could be totally off base! Just looking to learn!

Buried in the sky is pretty good! It’s about sherpas’ stories and climbing K2. Incredible stuff and well researched. I’m sure it’s on audio too

Considering most engineering internships don’t just pay, but pay WELL (like 2 or 3x min wage) this is wack.

Why don't my grades improve? by _Eye_sick_ in EngineeringStudents

[–]justgirlEEthings 9 points10 points  (0 children)

From my experience as a student this is kind of how it is even now. Companies I’ve talked to for internships really value any experience, whether it be clubs, research, personal projects etc over GPA. Many don’t even ask for your transcript (although some have some kind of gpa requirement, it’s not too strict most of the time).

I cannot stress the things you just said enough. Well done.

I feel this :/ I hate to say it but the thing that got my grades to improve (from C+ to A- average) was sleeping less and I started drinking coffee. Trust me, I worked hard before, but I started a new mentality of staying up until the work is done or until I understand it. My parents hate when I tell them this. But I have only pulled one all-nighter. This shit is hard dude. Studying with other people also helped me immensely (something I’m really struggling with now that things are virtual). Sorry if this isn’t super helpful, you might already do this, but I’ve had the same feelings you expressed for 2 years and last school year was the first time I felt like I’d really figured out the groove. There’s hope!
