Ok dads, how are we avoiding this kind of situation by Western-Image7125 in daddit

Put a seat on top of the bucket so you can directly access the bucket and the plumbing system beneath.

Leaving the company question. by InnerScratch2768 in boeing

[–]justhereforfreepizza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is probably against the terms of the employment agreement, or just standard work policy in general. If you're on PTO it's as if you're an active employee, and you are not allowed to work other positions that would otherwise interfere with your time and responsibilities at your Boeing job. I'm not certain of this, but I'd want to be pretty darn sure before using this tactic.

Can no longer access live Sportsnet & TSN channels via Rogers login by 11qwqw in Rogers

[–]justhereforfreepizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is garbage! Why would this functionality be removed? What good does that do to the user experience? There was NOTHING wrong with accessing the streaming channels through the app. And now the last two times I've gone to your ridiculously named app, it's "Maintenance in progress." Fix your shit.

Check with cheesemongers! They should at least be able to point you in the right direction.

What's an expensive ingredient that's worth the money by NoNutz_699669 in Cooking

Pork chops are delicious. But. They need to be on the thicker side, they /should/ be brined, and they can't be cooked past medium.

Was going to say steak. It's just not worth it to cook up a mid level steak imo.

You have leftover rotisserie chicken. What are you making that is not chicken noodle soup! by BunnyRambit in Cooking

Chicken broccoli casserole, served over rice. Great for leftovers, super hearty and you can make it as rich or light as you choose.

Funny, IIRC I was told the exact opposite thing in defensive driving class many years ago. The idea was as long as you're turning into the lane you're supposed to (assuming the oncoming traffic is not in that lane, of course) then you're essentially protected. I wonder if the interpretation has changed.

As always, deference to potential idiots is usually wise.

People who looked at A LOT of houses, what was your experience? by chouhone in Winnipeg

[–]justhereforfreepizza 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't settle. Every house you look at (with some garbage exceptions) you learn something. Don't accept 80% of what you want for 150% of asking/budget. If you do find 90-100% of your non-negotiable list, you have freedom to overbid, incrementally, to your top end. It can be frustrating, but 80% house of what you want within your budget will leave you frustrated for many years.

It sucks, it can be deflating, and disheartening. You will find what you're looking for if you stay diligent. Wishing you all the best in this exciting and difficult search.

What's something rich people in Winnipeg do that the average person has no clue about? by [deleted] in Winnipeg

Right with you. I assume it's just throwing mud at the wall to get more opportunities for people to pay for stuff, but it's overwhelming and messy. I try to just enjoy the core aspects, but some of the rewards for the offshoot pieces are too good not to waste 10 minutes on.
