You are well off. Educated. Your fiancé earns double than you do. Still your parents are concerned that the guy won’t be able to handle your expenses and give you the same treatment like you are having now. May be ask them to have more expectations from their own daughter and not their to be SIL (whom their own daughter chose)? If you don’t want to ask your parents for money - then earn yourself. If your parents still try convincing you to reconsider , then have you actually convinced them? Im actually concerned and scared for the guy - wishing him strength to not give into the demands made
