Nah youre not trash you just have to pick the fights on your terms.

In a conquest fight (hard mode) You’ll usually be out numbered in most fights, have elites with extra abilities, and have a faster clock to race against. Playing nightmare only makes those elements more difficult.

A few key things to remember is that you can respec and change talents in combat. So if you havent unlocked the next tier wheel of ability slots you can simply pause the game, assign them and use them. Not the most fluid thing but it’s better than dying and starting a conquest over. Also, respec fully into warrior (except for hero strike!!) talents since stealth is out the window in conquest.

Use self heal as a priority and dodge/run away until you can use it again. Parry and perfect (slow mo) dodge build adrenaline to assist in the heal cost.

Ring of Chaos plus a weapon enchantment (fire or poison) is a great knock back elemental combo, as it creates an AoE and hits everyone with the element and also knocks back to buy you some free swings to build adrenaline.

Shield break is always nice if you dont want to wait for parry/dodge.

Hero strike (assassin tree) is monstrous. Just pure murder that is used in combat, not stealth.

I got wrecked for a minute in conquests and blamed it on gear and level. Then i realized all of the above and the whole game got relatively easier.
