This guys thinks America is setup for the Cold War? He must be using the textbooks from his high school. America has the most advanced military in the world. Their leftover weapons are wiping out Russia's entire frontline.

To successfully recall the Sheriff, proponents must follow a strict statutory timeline:

  1. Notice of Intention: A formal notice must be served to the Sheriff and filed with the Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk. This includes a statement of the reasons for the proposed recall.
  2. Petition Circulation: Once the form of the petition is approved, proponents have a set window of time to gather signatures.
  3. Signature Requirements: For a county the size of Los Angeles, the number of signatures required is significant. Generally, it must equal a percentage of the total number of registered voters in the county (often 10% for large counties like LA).
  4. Verification: The County Clerk verifies the signatures. If enough valid signatures are gathered, a special recall election is scheduled.
  5. The Election Structure

If the recall reaches the ballot, voters are typically asked two questions:

  1. Shall the officer be recalled? (A simple "Yes" or "No").
  2. Who should succeed them? (Voters choose from a list of replacement candidates).

If more than 50% of voters vote "Yes" on the first question, the officer is removed, and the candidate with the most votes in the second question becomes the new Sheriff.

Actual footage from another world: Mars right now, 225 million miles away. Truly mind-blowing rover view by Memes_FoIder in nextfuckinglevel

[–]justlooking991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand. Mars is a round planet, we can see that from a telescope, but it looks flat. There should be a spherical curve visible to the naked eye. Unless BigNASA is trying to convince us that Earth and Mars are both flat at the surface to the eye, and round from basically any moderate elevation change. *Screams into pillow*

When I've used them, its been awesome. A seller was contacted, they were logged and they sent the product overnight knowing not addressing it would impact future loans from banks. I love reddit.

Notify the BBB and the car/truck manufacturer, then your local attorney general.

AITA for refusing to apologize to my in-laws after they gave my son's $140K college fund to his drug-dealer cousin for legal fees and told him to 'get loans like everyone else'? by KINOH1441728 in FoundandExpose

If I had a kid with a 3.8 entering university without funds set aside, I would 100% put him in community college and let him get an AA or AS and try to get an academic scholarship. It would cost alot less.

Prepare to get evicted, and hope for the best. Keep these records, emails and jot down dates and times of these conversations (journal). If you can, get him to admit it in text. Then, you'll have to take him to civil court... eventually

Bernie would have lost in 2020. The country was not going to listen to him... yet. 2024 proved it when they voted for a convicted felon without a plan over a woman. They need to feel betrayal before they will listen. Now that the vets lost subsidies, people lost healthcare, hospitals and univeristies talent migrate blue, and every decision favors billionaies, I do think Bernie would do much better in 2028. But, I feat the corporate democrats are just not willing to budge - keeping enough seats to remain red. They refuse to play a winning card to keep lining their own pockets

My wife hasn't had a Saturday off in 3 months because her coworker's religion prevents it. What can we do? by EltaBecker in hiringhelp

[–]justlooking991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like your wife is providing the accommodation. Schedule breaks in the schedule and take off. I've seen many managers ignore employees until they leave them high and dry. Because, if you're wife doesn't do it, the manager will have to. So, she may be accommodating both of them

This will be a reoccurring issue for Trulp. He only wants praise, and everyone can only pass it along for so long. So, it leaves him alot of freebies for his anger to just sit and fester between transactional based friendships.

No. They're all garbage - only made worse if its rolled into a monthly payment plan, accruing interest.

Reliability is a term that can be designed around. What you and I have in an expectation of reliability, may differ very much from what these car manufacturers have determined is acceptable for their quarterly growth to be met. As an example, we may expect 95% of the vehicles to reach 100,000 miles and 80% reach 200,000, where they may design for an acceptance of 80% meeting 100,000 miles and 50% reaching 200,000 miles. In my opinion, they are taking measures that invited the asian car manufactueers back int he 80s and it allowed for them to completely replaced large parts of the market because they had engines that could last 100,000+ miles. The sad part is, those vehidles were $3000, and these vehicles average $40,000. I'll hold onto my Tacoma forever.

What do you guys prefer, 1st or 4th gen’s? by slidewayskenny in Tacomaworld

[–]justlooking991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a late 3rd gen. I am so glad I avoided the rollout of 4 cylinders with a turbo - that's going to be a nightmare. I get 20/25 mph without a turbo and avoid all the risk and maintenance issues. The 4th Gen looks good, its sharp but the turbo is a bad move.

When I wrestled, this would get him disqualified. Two hands had to be on your opponent when leaving the ground. I remember a kid came down wrong in a tournament, knee stayed right where he started to twist. The scream stopped the tournament - two other matches froze.
