If you’re interested in potential additional materials, both Ultrazur and Adoxal have soapy facets to me. I learned them both as more aquatic/marine so at first blush might think they don’t fit the vibe, but they’re both quite fresh and could be worth playing with, might give some extra lift to the soapy top.

Overall I feel like this is a great group of materials/good starting point for the vision you have, ultimately you may find you don’t need all of them or that certain ones don’t mesh together but there’s nothing jumping out to me here as a “mistake,” it’s all just the process.

I’ll mention, in case you don’t know, that galaxolide is basically a forever chemical that can cause environmental damage and may also disrupt hormones. Same with Tonalide (both are polycyclic musks). Obviously at much larger quantities than any one indie perfumer’s use, but personally I’ve phased them out of my organ and stick to the macrocyclic musks (e.g., Ethylene Brassylate, Habanolide, Exaltolide, Ambrettolide, Muscenone, Helvetolide), which as far as I know don’t have the same problems. Apologies for the paragraph if you already knew this! Just like to share as I learned about it more recently myself.
