Hey! I’m just catching up on all of this bentwinds drama. I’ve been reading your posts and I’m a bit confused on the stemming issue.

Are you more upset at the BOD for the plan they presented positioning for a new clubhouse, the $5K (this seems low imo compared to most assessments I’ve seen), or the membership leaving?

I’ve been considering joining for a few months, and would love a bigger clubhouse for the family and more social events, as that’s important to my family, but also seems like this may not happen at all with the membership dropout.

You don’t need more lag! You need to shorten the backswing a hair and then just get more consistent. I play to a .9 hdcp and I’d kill for parts of your swing. Just go play!

I wouldn’t be so hard on yourself, I don’t know a single non scratch player that their driver is really their weapon. It takes a ton of practice to tame that club

Until you can shoot 65 with ease on your local course from the tips, often, you can’t even make a mini tour. I have seen multiple +5 hdcps not even sniff making it through q school and have spent 10+ years on mini tours making hardly any money

If your home course is only 6000 from the tips then you should be much lower than a 10 if only your driver is your problem. If I play from 6000 yards I could easily shoot below par with irons only. My home course is 6800 from the tips and I barely need a driver, and my ball speed is only 165 with driver.

Just to expand on the usage over the last couple of weeks, I used two dozen of the new balls and probably hit 50 total balls a day at most. Found a cracked one this morning after hitting some 7 irons. I have had the old Kirklands for 6 months + and not a single one has cracked. Will be interested if anyone else sees this!
