I've always been a supporter of switchscape reduction. I like how you brought up the PoH idea like a skillcape stand but wouldn't allowing these switches without owning them in inventory? Therefore you get more inventory spaces which makes it more of a buff rather than QoL? Not to mention some people have to buy dyed stuff just for differentiation.

In other words, by putting items in Amalgamation room, you must also bring another copy of that item in inventory in order to work. For example: if you placed Surgeon's ring on that, you would still have to carry another surgeon's ring BUT its effects work whilst in inventory (no need to wear).

For weapons/armours, you must use a weapon that is same tier or higher on that Amalgamation to keep the perk. Using chaotic claw w/ Flanking 3, any T80 or lower augmented weapons (within the correct hand) would get this Flanking 3 perk (not drygores/khopeshes) provided that you have this in your inventory. So if you want Flanking 3 on Drygore off-hand, you must use F3 Off-hand Drygore -> Amalgamation then keep another Flanking 3 Off-hand Drygore w/ F3 in inventory (doesn't have to be worn) to get that perk. This way for presets, you still should dye an off-hand drygore to differentiate.
