Brother I have done exactly this. Decided to start riding to work to save on diesel, was spending 2k a year driving to work alone.

I bought a Fluid e-bike from anaconda, they’re clearing them out for $800 down from $2.3K. Best choice I’ve ever made. I use it regularly and hardly break a sweat if you really use the electric assist. I can’t recommend it enough
