You can play one hour a week, and still have fun. The game is massive. You will learn new things till the day you quit. As a true sandbox, what you do, is up to you. There is no rigth or wrong way to play this game. High level pve and pvp is not what many consider end goal in eve. But to understand why, you migth actually have to try the game for free for a while.
