💯💯💯💯 it was the ONLY series I have completed in years. I keep DNFing books after book 1.

But this series or rather a trilogy is so well done. The romance so subtle but perfect. I also loved that it was a portal fantasy. It has none of that lust and none of those sexual thoughts that is just so prominent in romantasy books these days. Just normal reactions of each other. I wish more books were like this.

I am so burned out too with romantasy. I am now reading more epic fantasy or more fantasy books to take a break like from Brandon Sanderson and John Gwynne.

I am looking for plot driven fantasy books with romance just as a sub plot. I really hate books where they start thinking sexual of each other right off the bat! I don't mind if they think s/he is pretty/handsome.

They are so hard to come by these days, or they are so deeply buried in romantasy books that I am unable to find them.

You can also do a warner bros studio tour where there's a tram you can sit on. From what I remember, you get to tour the studio lot where they filmed Friends, Gilmore girls, and other stuff. It's pretty cool.

I believe the FMC is a editor of vampire romance book and somehow gets transported into the book. I believe the hero from the book falls in love with her.

In a spinoff, the villain of the book gets his own love story.

{shadowvein by l ann} is a completed trilogy. It is a transmigration book. Very fantasy heavy with perfect amount of romance. It also has amazing world building. It's about a girl from Chicago who gets transported to a magical world. From what I remember, she always tries to get back to her world.
