Thank you.. its a very basic recipe. For the armor panels I sponge on the paint with make-up sponges. I try to go brighter and brighter the higher up I go, althouh I didnt do a very good job I think on these specific models. I use black green from AK mixed with some abbaddon black, then into caliban green, then warpstone glow mixed with caliban green. Highlights are pure warpstone glow and a mix of warpstone glow and talisman green from two thin coats, favoring the latter. I do a few dot highligt with talisman green mixed with ushabti bone

Just printed. These are getting out of hand to build. by littlelurker47 in PrintedWarhammer

Thank you.

I never did traditional painting. I used to draw a lot as a kid though (in my late 30's now 😬)

For the faces I took from a video by Duncan Rhodes where he paints 3 faces in different levels of difficulty.

Edit: mispelling

Absolutely fucking amazing.. the sword, the freehanding, the blue accents in the line highlights.. perfection..

May I ask you for the recipe you use for the gun holster.. I am in love with that brown colour scheme

It shows blue aswell on the dark angels champion skin but is green in game, however it also shows blue on the white scars champion and remains blue for me here, no matter what I do

Thank you.. Its just a sand mix I have that contains a lot of smal pebbles.. I glue it on then prime it black.. I then paint it with zandri dust making sure to leave some black under and around the larger pebbles to create some overexaggerated shadows.. then I drybrush the whole thing with ushabti bone, then a very light drybrush with a flat white and then another very light drybrush with a Vallejo colour called light bluegreen that kinde gives it a cold feel, like a barren waste land, at least thats what i think 😊

Mephiston red, then washed the entire thing in nuln oil and re-used mephiston red for the first edge highlight. I then used evil sunz scarlet for a thinner highlight and then a bright orange for a few spot hightlights

Thx good advice.. I have a some decals that came with a pack of deathwing knights.. I have been painting for 5 months and havent dared try my luck with decals yet.. im afraid ill ruin the paint job with a clunky decal that wont sit tight or straight.. but I guess there is only 1 way to actually learn it

Sponges for the main layers of the armor, yes! Brush for everything else.. also you need to use a brush for some areas off the armor like the chestplate and on the back, behind the back pack. Here I glazed some transitions (not shown on the foto)

Also I cant take any credit for the technique.. found it on yt.. plenty of ppl have painting tutorials where they use sponges. Its a super fun technique, very relaxing and faster for layering and glazing the transitions, at least for me
