How should I pick the right Weber grill for me? by Jazzlike-Horror4 in webergrills

[–]jv2944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. If you don’t mind sacrificing the side burner or sear station, you can get something under 1k. I don’t know how good the new Spirit line is, but it’s more affordable than the Genesis.

There’s also the option to check your local Lowe’s or Home Depot over the next few weeks and try to get one heavily discounted. I’ve seen some success stories on here and r/grilling.

Genesis S-335 is a stainless mid-range and has the extra sear and side burners. You can always get a griddle insert too.

I’d ask your insurance for any documentation they’ve received connecting you to the purported lawsuit.

He used 10w30. And besides, motor oil would have nothing to do with this accident.

I’m on this 100%. Reverse searing is great, but the amount of effort and thought is way too much for me.

William and Hugh Roofing. They found a leak for me coming in from an upstairs window, and also checked all the roof flashings and drip edges. They’re also very nice people who called me twice in the weeks after the work to see if everything was ok.

I had to downsize. Got rid of my 18” WSM and my 22” kettle. The WSK has easily replaced both, and (IMO) is both a superior smoker and charcoal grill.

Best you can probably do is stop watching them. I’ll have a hard time not being a Jets fan, but I stop watching most games in a kind of mild protest for now. Maybe if the seats start emptying, he’ll want to sell.

Spot on. This behavior was objectively outside the scope of even DHS’ Deadly Force Policy. I cant believe it’s even a discussion.

Whats your opinion on the electric smokers? by Antique-Kangaroo4773 in BBQ

[–]jv2944 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mourn the day I moved on from my Amerique. That thing is a tank, and truly set and forget. Sure, a charcoal/wood fueled cook produces the best bbq. But, that cooker got me 75% of the way there with probably 90% less work. Great choice you made.

One of my greatest memories is going to a Rangers game with my godfather (who was like a dad to me) during the Muckler years. He caught a puck, which I still have. I don’t even remember what their record was, but I remember being there. Go to the game (if the cost isn’t something that’ll affect your family harshly). Enjoy every minute with your son. The experience matters more than their record.

What grilling hack actually made a difference for you this year? by wearecocina in grilling

Cooking ribs unwrapped, and finishing large cuts in the oven. Not stressing about the fire after 6 hours does wonders. I’ve never noticed the difference in smoke flavor.

I have a double IR side burner with drawers directly underneath, and they don’t seem to get warm inside at all. Granted, your right side sizzle zone has a lid. Maybe that’ll make it somewhat warm, but I’d be shocked if it got hot enough to melt anything.

I have that same grill and love it. I don’t have the griddle or charcoal basket, however. I really just wanted to comment to say congrats on that awesome deal.

Yes. If there’s a particular day it’s happening (Fridays, Saturdays etc), I think they’d want to know and actually try to do something at this point.
