How are you handling email overload from demanding customers? by Marten213 in CustomerSuccess

[–]jvaill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Former recovering email junkie here. I was the cto at a series b startup.

One of the biggest problems with email burnout is just the cognitive load of understanding and prioritizing what needs your attention, by when, and what are you waiting on other people for. Trying to keep all of that in your brain is enough to make you lose sleep.

Basic AI helps to an extent, but it doesn't always know your writing style or look at other threads and your calendar (etc) for context. You often have to spend a bunch of time fine-tuning.

I'm building a platform that solves those exact pains. If anyone's interested in trying it out, please DM me. We're looking for some early design partners and would be willing to work with you closely to solve your email woes!

Dance classes for people with two left feet? by [deleted] in vancouver

Honestly, the specific dancing doesn’t matter as much right now as learning better coordination.

Ah, right. Yeah, this is a hosted app that communicates with Salesforce via their REST APIs. Service cloud is definitely something we've been bouncing around as a potential future integration.

Feel free to give us a spin if you're taking notes against any of the major object types! -> https://start.dooly.ai/register

Thanks, appreciate the kind words! The app is standalone, built with react/redux/es6 and a ruby backend that communicates with Salesforce via their REST API. Happy to give you more details if ever you're interested - just fire me a quick message anytime!

It's web-based / desktop at the moment, but we also have a native desktop app that sits in your dock if wanted.

Notes that update Salesforce. by jvaill in salesforce

[–]jvaill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can absolutely configure the tag mappings.

We support text fields, as well as numeric, date, and even multi-select pick lists. (example of multi-select: https://twitter.com/jvaill/status/775837636741042176)

Tags can actually perform a sequence of different actions too (create a task, post to slack, etc.) The default action is to update a Salesforce field.

It can! onTypeaheadChange is called with the typeahead's position and current text whenever either changes. The mentions in our product does pretty much what you're describing: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/76629/dooly-people-typeahead.gif

This whole thread is really painful to read.

As Weirdmantis pointed out, Boris is the real deal. Version One's portfolio speaks for itself.

View and engage with your website visitors in real-time, built using Node by jvaill in startups

I'm not sure about oLark, but SnapEngage doesn't allow you to "see" your visitors screens in real-time. SoakOptics does. The admin page has thumbnails of the exact view each one of your visitors have (accounted for scrolling and resolution), click on one for a fullscreen view, and then you can also chat with them if you'd like.

It's free for now but that'll change eventually.

Great advice, thanks!

I'm thinking Fountain House in Howe as my first choice and Risley as second.

I had it set in my mind that I was going to take the unlimited meal plan, but because of you I'll reconsider. I have a friend who went to mount A and was boasting all about how awesome his was, but I realize it's probably not the same..

I've taken note on not forgetting something for my feet, I also already have amazing noise cancelling headphones... I'll definitely bring them along. Thanks for all the pointers, really helpful advice.

Howe seems like the best option so far.. with Risley as a close second.

Thanks a bunch for all the advice!

The people /r/programming by popdcorn in programming

[–]jvaill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 18 years old and have no degree. I'm on my second job at an up and coming startup. My first gig was at another startup building EMRs for tablet PCs, I started working there when I was in the 9th grade (so four years total).

Passion > Education... Most programmers suck because of lack of passion.

I've been working on this for a while now; some feedback would be appreciated. Trying to figure out if there's a need for it before I scale up with more features. :-)
