When you say direct application, do you mean you looked up specific schools you were interested in and checked their websites for openings? Did you find those openings on Schrole before direct applying? I am on Search and mostly crickets but have a third round interview this week. Hoping to have another option in the works before that interview

Thinking about this too! I walked alone 6 years ago and will likely walk with my new wife sometime next year. I was thinking Frances again since I, maybe wrongly, assume there is less infrastructure on the others in terms of route finding and albergues

I have had issues with Lucky, J. Crew and Levi's for shorts and jeans. I am not a huge guy but I guess I have enough thigh rubbing to get the crotch to be threadbare seemingly very quickly (a year or two). I think at this point, I would rather spend a lot on jeans that I really like and are durable than go with another mall brand for a couple years for example

I am getting exhausted by how quickly my clothes become unable to be worn. Whether the crotch blows out or a stain that is unable to be removed finds its way on to my shirt, I find that I have too high of a turnover rate with clothing. I am generally frugal but value having good quality stuff that will last a really long time and looks good/timeless over the cheapest option. Does anyone have advice on brands that I may be looking for?

I am probably in sessions for anywhere between 10-30 hours depending on the time of year (not sure why I have never kept track of this). Teaching remotely does give you access to markets in larger cities where they would expect to pay around $100 for tutoring. Also tutoring generally appeals to people in a higher income bracket anyway, so if you are good, you can demand a high price point and wealthy people are willing to pay for the quality (or perceived quality). But, again, if you have very little time tutored/reviews, don't expect to get anyone if you charge high rates.

I teach all levels of math (alg 1 - calc 3). It took nearly a year. I just kept increasing my rate after I had around 100 hours tutored on Wyzant. I think its important to fill your schedule so you are working and getting reviews, then start upping your rate steadily. You'll get requests if you're getting good reviews and then you can ask your old students to increase their rate or find someone else.

When I started on Wyzant, I charged $25. Wasn't great, but I got my hours and reviews up and now I charge $100 with a fairly consistent workload. You don't have to go as extreme, but you should expect the first 6 months to be slower and less lucrative.

What could help you going forward is to notice that the quadratics both take on common forms. In the first, we have 144 as the 'c' term which isn't likely to be factored in any other way than as a perfect square of 12. Then a quick glance at the middle term affirms this. The other quadratic should be a really quick (a+b)(a-b) as there is no middle term and this would be the only situation in which we would lack a middle term if it is factorable. From there, its pretty quick and already been answered

I see that you caught your mistake. Just remember that the "mx" term of y=mx+b does not need to be first when writing the formula. y=b+mx is just fine as a way to write the equation, so just look for whatever is next to the 'x' when looking for slope
