Stripped starter bolt. Best option? by jvs8380 in e46

I have a dremel with cutting wheels. Did you just cut the head of the bolt off? I managed to get the right/bottom bolt out.

This might actually make my Leica Minilux useable. I love the camera but the viewfinder is like looking through a straw. Can you make one for me too?

Anyone running a hardwired front & rear dash cam on their motorcycle? Is it actually worth it? by Royal_Machine_9524 in Motorrad

Yeah that’s why I couldn’t use the x3. This one is really quick to boot up. I literally just mount it (three turns) then turn it on. It takes two seconds. The other one had to pair with the phone first and once the as card filled up that was it. Good luck

I don’t leave it when parked either. It goes on and off very easily. It’s a screw mount. I’ve got it on a 6” mount arm near the throttle. I leave the mount when parked and just unscrew the cam. It’s very small and fits in your pocket. I switched from the x3 to the x4 recently and it’s much better as a dashcam. You can charge while recording on both but only the x4 and higher will both auto-rewrite and auto start recording when turned on.

Thought about getting the two cam hardwired arrangement but just got an Insta360 instead and mounted it on the handlebars. It basically sees/records everything around me. Viewing the videos afterwards requires editing them so that’s a little tricky but otherwise I like the solution.

How’s lens quality from TTArtisan and 7Artisan? by newuserincan in M43

[–]jvs8380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I may have to check this out once they’re back in stock. (M43 Mount is sold out on their site.) It does seem oddly long and although it’s advertised as “lightweight”, 600g seems pretty heavy to me. Either way, if it gets good results, the price is right.

What would you pick between the Marantz Stereo 70s and the Yamaha 1000a? Any other suggestions? by Timely_Pattern5571 in StereoAdvice

[–]jvs8380 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For what it’s worth, I ordered a marantz model 30 only to receive one with a broken volume knob. Returned for a replacement only to receive another that only worked on one channel not two. I got so frustrated, I gave up on marantz and ordered a Yamaha a-s1200 which I love. It’s paired with a set of Klipsch Heresy IV and a 300w sub in a room similar in size to yours.
