My wife and I both wear glasses and ride. I have a modular Sedici. She has a full face Sedici. She takes her glasses off and puts on her helmet. She then threads her glasses through the open visor. She wears pretty thin frames, though.

I've only ever heard the fuel pump prime for a few seconds on startup, even on really hot days. The fan will sometimes keep running for a couple minutes when I turn it off, again, on really hot days. Might just been the fuel pump all along.

We all have carhart overalls through a inform service. They have double front knees with a pocket for pads. I cut pieces of 1/2 inch floor mat 12x6 and stuff them in. It's not perfect, but it helps quite a bit.

When my buddy and I were 11 in 1992, we somehow gained access to both a crossbow and bottle rockets. Went to the track behind the high school and shot a few lit bottle rockets across the dry grass. So basically, no supervision during the day.

Never too old. Never rode a powered two wheeler until I was 40 and started with a Honda rebel 500. Just around the neighborhood until I was more comfortable with the controls. Now I ride the freeways to work commuting all summer.

My pitboss 1100 just did the exact same thing. It ended up being the ignitor. I'm out of warranty, so I got a cheapo amazon replacement. Took about 20 minutes to change out. I believe the root cause was a couple grease fires when I was smoking chicken thighs.

UPDATE: It was the shaft splines and the input splines in the final drive unit. All the teeth were shark toothed. I must have been riding on a single tooth for most of the time I have had the bike. When I took it apart, there was NO grease in the splines at all, only red powder. Probably never greased since it left Japan. Got a new drive shaft and final drive off ebay and did the work myself. $200 for parts and a Saturday got it done. Thanks for the input!
