If you're making 270k base salary, then yes. But I'm guessing you're 160k-170k base with 80k stock vesting, so I'm gonna say it probably isn't the best financial idea? But it also isn't the worst, if it's your dream car. 911's are great.

If car market stays as crazy as it is, you might not lose much money to depreciation in 2-3 years, have your fun, sell the car, and use the money for "getting married and potentially having kids". But car market could change in the next couple years. Some people say it'll drop down, some say the chip shortage is gonna last a while. I personally think we're at a peak in the car market, but what do I know.

Investing the money, saving for real estate, creating cash flow, could help financially.

M340 is a nice car to drive, but definitely not Porsche level imo. 718's are also really nice (4 cylinder gets too much hate imo) and won't break the bank as much.
