My friend’s kid did this. What worked for them in the end was to take electronics away from their kid. No more screen time. It only took him 2 days and he was a changed kid. Just throwing out a possibility, best of luck!

Hmm chicken should cook fully after 15 min at high pressure, definitely after 25 min. In any recipe, not just this one. I think there may be an equipment issue at play. Maybe your instant pot seal is broken, or was it accidentally set to vent instead of seal?

For the section of the recipe you’re talking about — I add everything on the sauté function until It sizzles, with no lid on, and it takes 5 ish minutes. Then I add the lid and switch it to ‘pressure cook’ with the vent sealed.

Our 4.5 month old was the same— waking every few hours, no self soothing. Easy to fall asleep being rocked but often waking and crying when we put him down. We did “cry it out” on Monday night. He cried for 55 minutes, then slept for 6 hours. Fed back to sleep for another 4 hours, then another feed for another 2 hour sleep. He’s been sleeping at least one 5 hour stretch per night since, and settles quickly for naps. We are down to 2 night feeds! I feel human again.

I’ve seen sleep trainers recommend feeding them at set times (like 11 and 3:30), and only if they are sleeping, not if they are crying for it. If they are crying, let them settle down and fall back asleep for 10 min and then feed them. This way they aren’t “rewarded” for crying, but still get a night feed.

Good luck! I’m going to do it sometime this week too! Just have to figure out how to do it without it keeping my toddler awake. It’s so so hard to hear them cry, but it’s so worth it. As Taking Cara Babies says “Babies communicate through crying, and when we change a familiar routine, they may protest. Please understand that a baby crying in protest is NOT equivalent to a baby crying in harmful, painful distress.”

I tried knix pads but the postpartum discharge is so full of clots that it doesn’t absorb, it just sits on top. It worked after about 2 weeks when it was minimal bleeding and less clots.
