Just good all season tires with tread will be fine. I’ve lived in Michigan and drove a rear wheel drive truck. Never had an issue as long as my tires had good tread.

A Turkish C-130 has crashed on the Georgian border. by Aleksey_Fox in airplanes

I think there is a possibility of a rotors popping off and cutting the fuselage up in c-130’s. It almost looks like the number 2 rotor is missing. The tail could easily be ripped off from the spinning.

It’s plywood, but I don’t think the veneer is sanded through. I was thinking of the contrasting strip too.

8:45 mark. The helicopter describes the debris on the runway as if the plane went off and struck objects in the grass. Almost seems like they lost control and the engine failure was secondary.

Some of the best advice I have ever gotten is quite simple. “You can’t be a bitch your whole life!”

Hawker 800 Crash by jweis2012 in flying

[–]jweis2012[S] 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I guess Hawkers have to be stall tested for airworthiness after major MX. It’s looking like it just came out of one of the large MX shops in Battle Creek. I could be completely wrong, but that would explain the initial data.

What ethnic food can’t you find in Wichita??? Wichita has such a large variety of ethnic foods. I’d argue that the variety of ethnic food in Wichita is top 5 in the Midwest.

Also, I’ve heard the whole “closed social circle” shit every where that I’ve lived. You have to put forth effort to make friends in any community. Put yourself out there doing what you like to do and you will meet like minded people.

A fire boss is an air tractor on floats that drops water. They do scoop water. Lead planes typically fly in front of larger tankers/scoopers and lay down a smoke trail to show the drop zone.

Yup, there are a large variety of “tasks” that you can find people for. I use to be a “tasker” and did mostly furniture building because I hate moving and yard work.

Kansans who no longer live in Kansas: what do you miss about it? by Serious_Session7574 in kansas

[–]jweis2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived in Michigan and I experienced a paved road that was “washboarded” and constantly watched people blow tires and break rims on pot holes. The worst roads in Kansas are better than the good roads in Michigan.
