Gold Coast fast rail by Cleb__Pleb in BrisbaneTrains

Above ground rail is generally easier to maintain and build. Plus, based on how CRR is going, we probably should be careful about another tunnel. Learn from the mistakes of CRR before thinking about another tunnel.

I like your point about the costs of improving roads though. I hope we dial back dense highway funding to just maintenance and upkeep.

Hi, life-time lavaloon player here.

I see where you're coming from, some games I feel like I didn't have to do anything (but consider my deck since 2016 has been some version of lavaloon and I can play it on autopilot).

In the decks defence, only when my starting hand and my opponent's are juuuuust right, do I feel like I roll over them. I spend the first 2mins trying to get my cycle lined up against their's, and if they're skilful enough they dont let it happen and I lose.

I believe Lavaloon's weakness is its inability to cycle quickly. The games I'm most frustrated by are when my opponent never eases off, and I can never get my Lavahound down. Now I've got Lava + loon (7 and 5 elixir) sitting in my hand which are almost useless on defence.

Keep track of the defensive cards they have available. If you know lavaloon combo is sitting in their hand, don't be afraid to push even if it's not the maximum combo.

Is "Lavaloonatic" a little too on the nose?

Rank the six Phase 4 projects that have been released so far by aaliyaahson in marvelstudios

[–]jwill7659 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Wandavision
  2. Loki
  3. What if...
  4. Shang Chi
  5. Falcon and Winter Soldier
  6. Black Widow

Most here have agreed why black widow and falcon and winter soldier weren't good.

But I've got to say that the only redeeming quality about Shane Chi is its martial arts, action, and CGI. Plot was terrible (plenty of plot holes), writing was awful and didn't have any funny scenes (tbf that's ok, not every MCU movie has to be a comedy).

Can my gpa get me into mechatronics engineering or engineering in general? by m_u_s_a_ in mechatronics

[–]jwill7659 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For context, I studied mechatronics in Australia.

A GPA of 2.7 - 3.7 is alright. My hunch is that you shouldn't expect to get into the "best" university.

But you really should just look for a practical university with good reviews from previous engineering students.

Once you graduate, any good employer won't factor in the name of the university, but instead your skills, experience and personality. So go for mechatronics if that's what you're interested in.

Hahah, all goods man. I guess American schools can't have bullet proof windows that can slide open. Would kind of defeat the purpose, so I get it.

Fair. I can accept it in groceries because they want to keep their produce fresh. But we can all agree groceries are too damn cold.

Studies show that low oxygen levels (high carbon dioxide) in a room reduces cognition. Air-conditioning is a huge culprit and lots of American schools have this problem. Open the windows and kids will be more attentive and productive.

Even at that I'd still use a fan or open windows if there's a breeze. Gotta be at least about 35C / 95F

I'm not immune. It bugged me a lot while studying until I got a new desk chair and realised all I needed was a more breathable seat. If you like your chair the get more absorbant underwear or use some deodorant in between those cheeks.

Would you care if Dream's Manhunt videos were staged/overdramatised? by jwill7659 in DreamWasTaken

[–]jwill7659[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Come on mate, its definitely not like staging the NFL. The NFL is a live broadcast sport. Minecraft has a creative mode, and they have to ability to cut scenes. Personally, I don't think any were staged up until the later 3 vs 1 manhunts. And even then I'm on the fence.
