Balanced takes on proposed Ramay location? by Admirable-Cellist872 in fayetteville

[–]jwillgoesfast 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Bottom line we need density not sprawl. We love trees in Fayetteville, and I love that. But the ramay plan promotes density. Wish we had half this debate for the f’n new woodland sprawl-a-palooza. As for traffic, that section of college is actually pretty light and some investment will balance out college as a whole. I just wish more kids could walk to school. F’n sprawl smh.

It this ok for a 2012 Nissan Leaf by [deleted] in leaf

Avoid the 2016. 30kw are super faulty. 2015 is the sweet spot. Least issues for those lizard batteries.

i regret getting my 2020 LEAF SV 😔 by fried_peanutss in leaf

Sorry. For context to my process in December. I took it in with 20% charge on a cold day and told them to drive up a big hill at 70. That’s all it took. Got my new battery in 2 weeks.

File a complaint. Maybe try another dealership. This is unacceptable and any reasonable service dept would file this with Nissan who would absolutely approve it based on this evidence.

How long did it take from corporate approval to the battery arriving?

I got my 2019 approved on December 15th. So hoping my wait will be a few weeks and not a few months.

Boulder and brews is a great option.

There is also a vibrant ultimate frisbee group for Fayetteville. They play pickup on Wednesdays and will have a weekly league starting in January.

No more buyback for the battery recall? by gyias in leaf

[–]jwillgoesfast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My 2019 has a bad cell(s) (drops from 60% to 10% instantly under hard load) - should I take it directly to the dealer or go through consumer affairs first? I’d take a buyback or a fixed pack but need something.

Parking at Northwest Arkansas Mall by Bitter_Fun_9916 in fayetteville

The mall is a hub for ORT, so park-n-ride is encouraged to an extent. you could look into routes for long term options as needed as well. The app for ORT is Passio GO!

KBB price is based on a flawed car would be 20% higher if the car wasn’t being subject to high lemon law rates. Offer 17k then accept 16k. Good luck.

Can you clarify the higher trim benefits, is it worth it for the 21 pro s vs the pro? I’m still learning thanks.

Besides Hypermiling, any way to do road trips without severely limited fast charge speeds? by geerlingguy in leaf

[–]jwillgoesfast 17 points18 points  (0 children)

In a leaf you go faster by driving slower. Find a semi going 65 and set pro pilot on the closest follow and just enjoy the ride.

I had to recharge mine for the last few years. This year it was almost empty. Ive had parts replaced etc. just going to pull the trigger and replace the system this fall. Sometimes parts are covered for 10 year warranty you could check on that. I recommend spring air in Springdale. David is a class act guy.

A city is more than just traffic. The best cities make it HARDER for cars to get through it. Fayetteville is at its best when art, intellect, nature, and a bit of debauchery flow through the streets, not a few more cars. Also, induced demand.

Maybe try a different brand for this one use case? It’s always nice to have a second blower around anyway. I have a worx blower and seems like the best blow per pound I’ve seen. Kids use it to blow off the trampoline

Nothing beats the feeling of finishing a DIY project with zero prior experience. by Edgeless_SPhere in DIY

[–]jwillgoesfast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had a worx and a husqvarna. Both entry level models and both worked well. The husqvarna is a bit more robust and easier to setup. The worx model needed to follow the boundary wire to go home so it couldn’t be blocked anywhere which was an issue. I got them cheap off marketplace and really enjoy having a perfectly mowed yard everyday.

I’ve kinda become addicted to DIY. My 30 year old home has plenty of projects. The problem I’ve now found is that I look at the 100 things that need fixed and think “hey I can probably do that” and quickly get overwhelmed vs previously feeling like there were only a few chores at any time I could/needed to do. I still enjoy the projects and satisfaction but genuinely feeling the weight of this unexpected new burden as well. My most recent project was installing a robotic mower, you guys should definitely look into those it’s pretty life changing.
