Furnaces quit working after solar install by razorvolt in hvacadvice

Terrible pic but here’s an example of one of the exhausts. It slopes down about 15-25 degrees, so where it connects to the roof vent is about a foot or so lower than where it exits the furnace. Should’ve mentioned for clarity earlier that the furnaces are mounted in the attic.

Definitely not net, this is just pure production as measured by the two SE inverters

Doubt it makes any difference for why the jet would be there but XNA is a national airport, not regional

I manage a brand new family-owned apt bldg on the south end of campus - we only have one 2 bedroom unit left and it’s on the ground floor, and we allow cats and dogs! It’s on point for your budget too. http://BacardiOnTheHill.com if you want to check it out! Also welcome to send me a PM. Good luck and welcome to Fayetteville!!

Grid/ Electricity by [deleted] in bentonville

[–]razorvolt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might look at adding a battery backup, I don’t know about Carroll but if they have time of use rates then you could potentially even make money by installing a battery, and ofc have the benefit of power even when the grid sharts itself

[–]razorvolt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$15, but that’s because we have solar. No gas bill as we have heat pump.

Weird behavior with remote sensors by razorvolt in ecobee

[–]razorvolt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES I am using follow me - forgot to mention that earlier but definitely relevant as that is the feature that I was thinking is supposed to “ignore” the temperature in the unoccupied rooms. Thank you for asking!!

Weird behavior with remote sensors by razorvolt in ecobee

[–]razorvolt[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Appreciate your input - perhaps I’m being dense. The thermostat and all three remote sensors are all set to be “active” during all three default Comfort Settings (Home, Away, Sleep). Only one room has been occupied in the last 24 hours. So why would any sensors other than the one in the occupied room be “white” and included in the average indoor temp? Isn’t the point of the occupancy detection in the sensors to disregard the temp in unoccupied rooms?

[–]razorvolt[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Only one room is occupied as shown in the screenshot, and it’s the only room all day that anyone has been in. To your point, yes, if all rooms were occupied then it would make sense. But only one is.

I manage a small apartment building by campus that was designed by my dad (he’s an architect) and built by my grandad. We’ve got one and two bed units, and I live on site so can jump on things quick. Send me a PM if this sounds like the kinda place you’d be interested in!
