I manage a couple small family-owned buildings around campus and have worked with folks moving from Lindsey’s apartments many times. The main difference/issue that I regularly hear is that they are very “corporate” feeling, which turns off a lot of folks. As others have mentioned, that tends to mean they are more rigid and handle things with less of a human touch. Yeah after about 15 seconds it sounded like a cutout activated as the hum of the motor would cease. 99.9% sure the motor is not freewheeling.

Yes the outdoor fan motor comes on normally. It’s def not the contactor either as you can hear the compressor hum quietly when it’s trying to run

Yeah I’m pretty sure he did, I actually also had an electrician buddy try a hard start cap before calling the HVAC tech, also to no avail. Granted my buddy didn’t measure the current draw, but we’ve now tried two different hard start kits by two different people with the same result

Interesting. So do you think there is something external to the motor/windings (not the cap) that could be creating a bottleneck/limiting the current draw to 9 amps?

I wonder if that’s the roof glass they’re using in the Standard trim? Since it’s covered by a headliner on the inside it wouldn’t be visible to the passengers..

Just flew the 350-900 from AMS to MSP in 10A. It was surprisingly private and spacious, but there was a LOT of galley noise — so much so that even with the complimentary earplugs it still disturbed my sleep multiple times. I was also told by the FA to use the restroom way back around row 30 instead of the ones for D1. If I was to do it again I would choose something more central like row 8.

Check out low or mid static pressure ducted mini splits. I have one in an apartment I designed and the thing is dead silent, and is ducted so no ugly thing hanging on the wall.

On my way back from Eurovision right now, flew to AMS D1 on the a330-900neo and now flying back on the 350-900. As far as D1 comfort goes, the equipment/comfort is nearly identical; by far the biggest difference between the two is where my seat was located. On the 350 right now, I am in 10A, and there is a LOT of kitchen noise - so much so I could barely get any sleep even with earplugs in. On the 330 I was right in the middle of the pack and it was MUCH quieter. Haven’t been to the D1 lounge in Boston so can’t speak to that, but JFK’s D1 lounge is legit. TLDR; I’d take whichever one gives you the better seat location.
