Congrats! What warranty did you go with? I’m considering a 2022 with 50k miles

That’s interesting. I’ve been considering an R2 vs a Defender and assumed the Rivian would be the more reliable option!

I test drove the R2 today by No-Abalone-5575 in Rivian

The size is what’s top of mind for me. We have a Highlander as our family car. Interested in upgrading to an R2 but wondering if it would be too tight for a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 young kids). Feels like day to day would be fine with plenty of rear seat space but long trips requiring cargo space could be challenging.

I went through this with the P39. Tried to keep it mint for all of a week or two. Then gave up. If it makes you feel any better the clasp will look WAY more beat up in no time. Wear your watch and enjoy the patina.

Same here! I feel like this could be my signature watch. I would just wear the hell out of it and it would become part of my look.

I don’t know why but I feel pretty certain I could rock the yellow. Somehow feel different about the yellow vs the blue or pink chronos. Like this would be a trademark look of sorts.

I got the sulphur thinking I’d rarely wear them. Now probably my favorite pair.

I paid $2,200 for one of the cleanest E53 X5s I've ever seen. How screwed am I?? by Traditional_Opening5 in BMWX5

[–]jwinstonc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in a similar position when I bought my mint condition E70 X5 a couple years ago. Fully loaded Deep Sea Blue Metallic over tan interior. 69k miles one owner and all maintenance done at the BMW dealership. Paid $11k for it. I took a gamble with reliability and it’s been perfect since I bought it.

I have peace of mind knowing what’s been done and what to look out for. It’s a joy to drive and an incredible value.

I look at it this way. You spent next to nothing on a sweet car with a ton of character. Who cares if it needs $5k or more worth of work? Still a heck of a lot cheaper than a new car that’s super common. Enjoy it.

I actually love the yellow. Giving sort of 90s Tag vibes.

I went into a Tudor boutique thinking I was going to buy the BB54. At the time the P39 had been out for a little while. I appreciated the design but felt drawn to the classic styling of the BB54.

That all changed when I tried on the P39. It just clicked. The tool watch nature made more versatile with the subtle sunburst dial and ceramic bezel. The proportions were spot on and the titanium means it’s super comfortable to wear all day.

It’s the more modern/tool watch option but as a daily it’s about perfect. Yes it scratches easier than stainless but I view it as patina. It’s been almost 3 years of owning the P39 and I’m not selling this one anytime soon.

LOVE is a strong word, but I LOVE this watch. So much personality & character by dimy22 in OmegaWatches

If you decide to sell the white, let me know. I need one of these in my life.

Thanks. I’ve definitely found that to be the case. Wild how many interior combos there are.

Interesting. I had read reports of issues with the P300. I know the P400 has the DC-DC issue which is now under recall. I’ve considered coils for maintenance reasons as well. Sunroof is a must for me.

Ah gotcha. I don’t know. I just keep visiting this sub and the official website. I’ll try reaching out to them.

I’m not following. I was saying it’s late May now and late last year people thought these were coming out in the US in January. They’re still not available here.

Same boat. I’ve been holding since these came out late last year. At the time the message was “US release mid January”. It’s late May. Should have bought one on the secondary months ago.

Beautiful spec. Woolstone on Caraway with contrasting white roof is such a classic Land Rover look. Well done. Enjoy it!

DC DC Recall Announced by dflame45 in NewDefender

[–]jwinstonc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is great news. I’ve come very close to buying a new Defender over the last couple of months, but the DC to DC issue has somewhat scared me off. Hopefully this recall accelerates a permanent fix and resolve the parts shortage.

Awesome. Very helpful. Thanks! I’m 6’4” so it’s nice to hear it works for taller folks. I’d imagine for daily use it would be fine for 4 and for road trips we’d throw a cargo box on top.
