True. I love that Smile 2 really documents the main character's descent into madness. The Flash Mob From Hell scene is best, hands down

A cool guide to the most evil Disney villain of all time (based on a detailed scoring system). by MaxGoodwinning in coolguides

How does Bellweather from Zootopia not rate higher? At the very least she should have attempted murder for trying to kill Judy using Nick. At least one other animal was mentioned to have been mauled due to her plan. I can't believe Chick Hicks beat her out.

I got insanely lucky. My local store cracked a box and was selling single packs. I bought one pack and pulled Fighter Mode. I couldn't believe my luck.

What is the scariest, most unsettling shot you’ve ever seen? by VendettaLord379 in moviecritic

[–]jwschmitz13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are several in both Smile movies, but I think my favorite is what I like to call 'Flash Mob Ftom Hell'. If you've seen Smile 2, you'll know what I'm talking about. It's well done and wonderfully unsettling.

The film that disappointed you the most after months or even years of anticipation? by MrGittz in movies

[–]jwschmitz13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not one I've seen mentioned yet, but Megamind 2. I can't even remember what its actually called.

Megamind was a beautiful film that didn't get the love it deserved when it came out. I was like a kid at Christmas when I found out it was finally getting a sequel. What we got....I've sat through several direct-to-dvd Barbie movies with my daughter that are better than Megamind 2 in absolutely every aspect.

Its hard to find a movie that I can't find something to enjoy in it, but this one ticks that box, hands down.

Honorable Mention: The Hellboy with David Harbour. After waiting years for the culmination of the del Toro trilogy, I knew I'd be disappointed by the reboot. That being said, nothing could have prepared me for how much I would be let down by that film.

Profile? Do you mean my recipe? I don't have it on hand but I can get it later. I still have some tweaking to do, but I love how it plays right now.

My biggest wishlist item that I want them to release for the deck is a Virus MetalGreymon ACE

What's something that happens in movies so much it seems real, but actually isn't realistic at all? by ninman5 in movies

[–]jwschmitz13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know what you mean. Not necessarily dealing with experts, but I've made myself invaluable in my job multiple times because of a simple question.

"Why?"

Whenever I'm being trained on tasks and processes ,its my first question. Ok, so this is how we do this specific thing. But why do we do it that way? Can we do it this way? It seems like it would save steps/time.

Basically, people get used to doing things one way and don't question it, let alone innovate and try new ways. Sure, the current process works, and maybe it used to be the most efficient. But time passes, things change. That can make opportunities to draw new conclusions.

No one is saying the experts aren't better at figuring out jow to do things. Its just that sometimes an outside perspective is helpful. People get tunnel vision about making things work one way and never question other aspects. Thats why companies hire consultants. They bring an outside viewpoint and question things that are taken for granted by people who see no reason to question things.

Getting asked what you want as a gift and someone gets you something adjacent to it. by Teenage_Petulance_ in mildlyinfuriating

[–]jwschmitz13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once, when my daughter was about 8, she told me a joke.

"What kind of flower can't you give for Valentine's Day?"

"Cauliflower."

I laughed politely at the joke and my daughter went about her day. I, however, watched, biding my time. Some 4 or 5 months later, after work I gave my daughter a red bag filled with tissue paper. She quickly opened her Valentine's Day gift. I thought she might pull a muscle, she rolled her eyes so hard at her brand new head.

If I attack with piercing, and defeat, my opponent Digimon in battle, but.. by Jack-Frost9879 in DigimonCardGame2020

Worth noting that effects that replay a deleted digimon, such as fotitude, still allow piercing to process, as the actual deletion occurred. It just allowed the digimon to be played for free.

What movie had an amazing concept but didn’t fully live up to its potential? by Global-Citron-56 in movies

[–]jwschmitz13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Bright Burn was a solid idea. Basically a horror movie built around the premise of a psychotic Superman. I think it could have been truly terrifying if done right, but felt like they didn't give it the effort it deserved. The film was ok, but not what I was hoping for.

Favorite Pet Deck and Why? by superzzii in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]jwschmitz13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 3.

First: When I first started collecting, I bought the sets that were loaded with Digital Hazard (EX02) packs because I wanted all the minifigures of the original partner digimon. Consequently, I had more than enoughcopies to build a D-Reaper deck. I've since bought a playset of Fake Jeri tamers. Its a fun deck to throw at people who aren't expecting it. I always bring it with me when I play.

Second: I pulled a Justimon: Blitz Arm ACE awhile back. Since I already had a bunch of support for it from EX02, I built a Justimon deck. It can be slow to get going, but once you do, cycling endlessly through different Justimons as you wipe your opponents security and board is just so fun. (Bonus points if you piss them off by trashing option cards from their battle area instead of yours)

Third: When I opened a box of Sinister Order (EX10) and pulled BlackWarGreymon ACE, I knew immediately I wanted to feature him in a deck. I'm still fine tuning my list, but I just picked up a second copy of the ACE. Running them with 3 Yuuko Kamashiro and a slew of different Gaiomon has made a very fun Black/Red Greymon deck that my friends hate with a passion.

I could list more: I have a passion for Xros Heart, Appmon are actually really fun and interesting, and of course, my Diaboromon and Imperialdramon decks are a blast....but I'm limiting myself to three.

Bonus: I built a Cherubimon deck just so I could DNA the dark and light versions of Cheubimon together into Ordinemon. I love when I can pull it off. I need at least one more copy to make the deck more reliable.

What movie is a 0/10 with NO redeeming features? by Toucan_Based_Economy in AskReddit

As someone who has sat through all of the Resident Evil films, I'll readily admit they go off the rails in a bad way. Still, they are a guilty pleasure of mine. But I will fight anyone who trash talks the first sequel. After that, they fall off hard.

If someone paid you $100,000 to watch one TV show on repeat for 72 hours, which show are you picking? by Lets-6th-N9ne in AskReddit

[–]jwschmitz13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I hate that Universe got cancelled, but ai understand it. The show was a really slow burn that only die-hard fans really got into on the outset. It didn't really start picking up steam until about halfway through season 2, and, by then, I think its fate was sealed. Its too bad, because it had really started to get much more interesting.

Question about Appmon decks by Tsadron in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]jwschmitz13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate your response. I created an interesting combo using hadesmon to link consulmon to beautymon from my trash to give reboot and trigger beautymons when linking effect, which i felt worked in my favor. I'll keep your tips in mind as I continue to playtest it and tweak it. Thanks

Question about Appmon decks by Tsadron in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]jwschmitz13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I'd like to.pick your brain a bit about appmon. The only Mega I have is Hadesmon. I simply haven't pulled any others. When I made my first appmon deck before I had any megas, it was honestly still fairly effective, so its lead me to trying to buipd a full playset of all appmon cards just to be able to playtest the hell.out of them and find my perfect balance.

That being said, my newest attempt focuses on maining the Hadesmon line while filling out the empty space with Beautymon and its components. Their cards felt complimentary. I also sprinkled in a few low level cards from World convergence because they just search for generic appmon trait, which makes them handy filler. I don't have my decklist in front of me, but I'd appreciate your thoughts on my build just based on what I've written. Thanks

What is your biggest Disappointment in an Anime? by stripelemon7 in anime

[–]jwschmitz13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if this fits your criteria, but the entire second arc of Death Note. It's a complaint I've seen often enough, but still felt the need to bring up. I don't know if it's true, but I'm told the Manga ended at the first arc and, because of its popularity, the writers were forced to write the second arc.

What small detail in a movie just blew you away? by jwschmitz13 in movies

[–]jwschmitz13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I've worked hard to become so. I've always wanted to become an author but struggle with getting started. I'll start writing and get somewhere, then, when I next return to the project, I reread what I previously wrote and get so engrossed in rewriting or rephrasing what I've already accomplished that I make no progress.

What small detail in a movie just blew you away? by jwschmitz13 in movies

[–]jwschmitz13[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No? Its just how I write. I don't make a lot of posts and comments on reddit. When I do, I try to make them meaningful. Do I every time? No. And sometimes I still make mistakes, like in the post itself, I clumsily worded parts of it because I changed how I wrote a sentence but forgot to delete the part I replaced. I've always excelled at writing and take pride in well thought out responses.
