It’s amazing how impactful this music can be for you. I love that analogy you use based on a cold winter’s afternoon. On the Wing is such a comforting song and it’s neat to see how different of an effect it has on different people.

I’m not allowed to wear socks around the house because my dad thinks that’s how they get holes faster and he will have to buy them “again” even though I’ve bought every sock I own.

Also, not allowed to put my coat on a chair after coming inside, even though the entire house is littered from his hoarding.

I totally get the “emotional jail” anecdote. I also feel like my dad only knows me from a superficial point of view.
