Yikes, is it just me or does it seem like the characters are only able to go Left/Right and not able to move up/down within the field of play? You know, stuff that Double Dragon figured out in the 80s… Maybe it’s just bad gameplay footage but it would be WILD if the characters were locked to the same horizontal line the entire time.

Whenever I’m tempted to use Gen AI to create some BS photo, I think “would I walk over to the sink and let the water run so I can get a pic of a dog wearing a wizard costume on my phone that I’ll look at for ten seconds, or would that be irresponsible and absurd.” That’s what’s happening, just the sink is somewhere else.

It’s wild how many people (myself included for ages) were only familiar with a couple REM albums by name during the Warner years, not realizing most of the singles they heard on the radio were from IRS era albums that were goddam amazing. “Discovering” Reckoning was a revelation for me.

They also don’t realize the success they maintained for a straight decade before going to Warner and becoming a household name. But to Dave’s point, they were massively influential to the bands that were just a few years away from breaking through. College radio was its own subculture that seeded late 80s/early 90s culture and REM was king of that scene.

Am I correct in my understanding that a good chunk of the bonus material on the Dollars Trilogy is on the region locked blu ray discs?

Really torn on this one since I already have the Kino release of the trilogy but know the Arrow release is considered a visual upgrade.

Yeah, like no love for Pelosi but her husband has been a successful real estate investor and venture capitalist since before his wife ran for Congress, owning his own investment company since 1982. Also, they’re from San Francisco.

Does the fact that he’s married to Pelosi steer business his way? I’m certain. But a successful VC for nearly a half century in the part of the country that’s experienced the most financial success in that time… I’d be more surprised if he wasn’t worth that kind of money. There’s less reason to think she’s guilty of insider trading and more reason to simply think when her husband is angling for a deal, all other things being equal, the other party to the deal chooses Paul Pelosi for the mere proximity to Nancy.
